Flames at Capitals | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -170 Favorites

The Flames are just 4-6 over their last 10 games against the Capitals dating back to November 2014, with the OVER paying off six times in those contests. That includes a 5-3 Washington road victory at +100 on the NHL moneyline when the teams last met back on October 22, with John Carlson scoring a pair of goals for the Capitals in that contest and Braden Holtby making 32 saves. Cam Talbot allowed four goals on 29 shots for the Flames.

The Capitals have won seven of their last eight games heading into Sunday night’s matchup, with that stretch capped off by a 6-1 victory at home over the Sabres as -190 betting favorites on the NHL odds on Friday night. The OVER has paid off for totals bettors at the sportsbooks in nine straight Washington games, and also in 11 of the team’s 15 games so far this season.

Blackhawks at Ducks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Ducks -155 Favorites

The Blackhawks have split their last 10 games with the Ducks at five victories apiece dating back to November 2015, including a 4-3 win by Chicago as a -125 road favorite on the NHL odds when the teams last met back in February. Chicago went 2-1 against Anaheim overall last season. For totals bettors, the OVER paid off in two of the three meetings between the teams last season and in four of the last six games between the teams since November 2017.

The Ducks have won three of their last four games heading into Sunday’s matchup, picking up a 2-1 win at home over the Canucks at -110 on the NHL moneyline in their last game on Friday night. That marked the team’s first UNDER result in their last four outings. Ryan Getzlaf had the game-winning goal in overtime for Anaheim in Friday’s win over Vancouver.
