Hurricanes at Flyers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Hurricanes -115 Favorites

The Hurricanes have won three of their last four games heading into this Metropolitan Division matchup with the Flyers. Philadelphia has lost three of four, with the OVER on a 5-0 run. Carolina has won the past four meetings, with the OVER cashing in each of the last three.

Senators at Islanders | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Islanders -270 Favorites

The Islanders are riding a nine-game winning streak, with their last positive run this long coming between the end of 1989 and start of 1990. They are massive favorites in this spot and taking aim at the franchise record of 15 straight during the 1981-82 season during their run of four consecutive Stanley Cup championships. The Senators upset the Rangers 6-2 as +140 underdogs on Monday but have yet to win two in a row.

Golden Knights at Blue Jackets | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Golden Knights -137 Favorites

The good news for the Golden Knights is that they have earned points in three straight games. The bad news is they suffered back-to-back setbacks as home favorites in overtime before opening a four-game road trip against the Blue Jackets. Columbus has won three of the four all-time meetings with Vegas.

Kings at Maple Leafs | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Maple Leafs -240 Favorites

The Maple Leafs have dropped two of their last three games, with the OVER cashing each time. But Toronto welcomes a Los Angeles team that has lost four of five, with the OVER going 4-0-1 during that span. All four losses for the Kings were decided by two goals or more.

Bruins at Canadiens | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Bruins -113 Favorites

The Bruins will be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation following a 6-4 win over the Penguins as -160 home favorites on Monday. They have lost two of their last three when playing the second game of a back-to-back but have won six in a row overall. The Canadiens have won three of their last four games, including two as road underdogs.

Avalanche at Stars | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Stars -141 Favorites

These teams are heading in opposite directions, with the Avalanche losing four straight games following an 8-1-1 beginning to the season and the Stars winning three in a row and six of seven after a brutal 1-7-1 start. They also just met last Friday, with Dallas winning 2-1 at Colorado as a +125 road underdog. In addition, the UNDER is on a 6-1 run for the Stars.

Blues at Canucks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Canucks -125 Favorites

The Blues have put together a four-game winning streak with the OVER going 3-1 despite losing star winger Vladimir Tarasenko for five months following shoulder surgery. The defending Stanley Cup champions have won their last two by identical 4-3 scores in overtime, as David Perron and Ryan O’Reilly tallied the game-winning goals. The Canucks have won three of four games and five of their last seven, with the OVER currently on a 5-1 run.

Blackhawks at Sharks | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Sharks -163 Favorites

The Blackhawks complete a three-game tour through California after splitting a pair of overtime affairs versus the Kings (a 4-3 loss as +115 underdogs) and Ducks (a 3-2 win as +125 dogs) on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. San Jose is on a five-game skid, but the first of the team’s four wins actually came at Chicago on October 10 as a -115 road favorite.

Also on today’s schedule: Devils at Jets, Coyotes at Flames and Wild at Ducks.
