Red Wings at Rangers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Rangers -150 Favorites

The Red Wings have hit the skids again with three consecutive losses heading into a road matchup with the Rangers. Detroit has been outscored 17-4 during its losing streak, with the OVER cashing twice. It is worth noting that the Red Wings have closed as underdogs in each of their first 16 games, so being a road dog in this spot is nothing new.

The Rangers have won two of their last three games as dogs, but they were upset 6-2 by the Senators as -160 home favorites in their most recent game on Monday. The OVER is 2-0 in their last two losses, and the UNDER is 2-0 in their past two wins, with 23-year-old goaltender Alexandar Georgiev allowing only one goal each time. However, Georgiev was also in net against Ottawa and gave up all six goals, and Henrik Lundqvist gets the start on Wednesday for the Rangers. New York has lost the previous five meetings with Detroit, and the UNDER is on an incredible 12-0-2 series run too.

Blues at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -140 Favorites

The Blues will be playing the second game of a back-to-back situation here versus the Oilers in the third game of a four-game road trip overall. The defending Stanley Cup champions visited the Canucks on Tuesday and extended their winning streak to five games with a 2-1 overtime victory. St. Louis has also won the past two meetings with Edmonton by a combined score of 11-3 and four in a row when playing the second game of a back-to-back, with the OVER cashing in three straight.

The Oilers saw their two-game winning streak end with a 3-2 overtime loss to the Coyotes on Monday as -115 home favorites. The UNDER is on a 4-0 run in Edmonton’s last four games, and the team has lost two in a row in the role of the favorite.
