The Avalanche bring a three-game winning streak into Toronto for a matchup with the Maple Leafs in the opener of a three-game East Coast road trip. Colorado has outscored opponents by a 16-6 margin but has not played since Saturday, with two of the wins coming against Chicago in a home-and-home series. Toronto has dropped two of three following a three-game winning streak, getting outscored 13-7 during that stretch. The Maple Leafs are coming off a 6-1 loss to the Flyers as -115 road favorites on Tuesday, and they have lost six straight and nine of 10 when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation.

Blues at Penguins | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Penguins -125 Favorites

The Blues are riding a four-game winning streak into Pittsburgh to face the Penguins. St. Louis is coming off a 4-0 victory at Chicago on Monday as a -130 road favorite, with backup goaltender Jake Allen making 38 saves and Brayden Schenn scoring his team-leading 14th goal of the season. Pittsburgh has headed in the opposite direction, dropping two games in a row following a three-game winning streak, with the OVER cashing in three straight. This will complete a home-and-home series after the Blues beat the Penguins 5-2 on Saturday.

Senators at Oilers | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Oilers -220 Favorites

The Pacific Division-leading Oilers will open a three-game homestand when they host the Senators. Edmonton just split two games of a home-and-home series with Vancouver, as each team won on the opposition’s ice. The Oilers are 7-3-2 on home ice this year, and they will be taking on an opponent playing back-to-back nights in this spot. Ottawa has lost five of the last six times when playing the second game of a back-to-back situation. The Senators also lost their fifth straight game overall and fell to 4-11-1 on the road with a 5-2 defeat to the Canucks on Tuesday as +145 underdogs.

Capitals at Kings | OddsShark Matchup Report

Opening NHL Odds: Capitals -145 Favorites

The Capitals continue a four-game road trip and play their second of three in California when they visit the Kings. Washington knocked off San Jose 5-2 as a -120 road favorite on Tuesday, extending the team’s winning streak to four games, with the OVER on a 4-0 run. The Capitals have won five of the last six times they have played the second game of a back-to-back situation, with the OVER cashing in four of the past five. Meanwhile, Los Angeles has alternated losses and wins in its last five following a 4-2 setback at Anaheim as a +125 road underdog on Monday, with the OVER ending a 3-0 UNDER run in the team’s previous three.
