DailyFaceoff/Corsica NHL Bets (November 14th)

The Corsica NHL betting predictions had another respectable outing on Tuesday, missing on its highest value pick but nailing the highest probability. Despite it offering more value than any other bet on last night’s slate, Corsica only gave Tampa Bay a 35.92% chance of covering a -1.5-goal spread against the Sabres, so for the ones who like to bet you need to check  A list of US player accepted sports betting sites which is updated regularly.

Now it wasn’t terribly surprising when the Sabres were able to play the Lightning tight last night, eventually besting them by a score of 2-1. Thankfully for our readers, Corsica hit another home run on its highest probability pick. Corsica gave the Red Wings a 74.56% chance of covering the +1.5-goal spread in their game against Arizona; a game Detroit would win by a score of 6-1. This post now sits at 26-13 (66.67%) on the season.

With only four games on the slate tonight, it can be hard to find foolproof bets. Corsica has done its best to help you all win a little bit of money tonight, generating predictions for all four games. I’ve highlighted tonight’s highest value and probability pick below.

Highest Value

Capitals @ Jets – Over/Under | Under 6 (+108)

According to Corsica, the best value you can find on tonight’s slate is betting the under on the Jets and Capitals. Set at an even six goals, Corsica gives this game a 54.73% chance of hitting the under. The Capitals’ mighty power-play has been masked by a ridiculously high SH% and is finally starting to unravel. Washington has converted on just 2 of their last 15 (13.33%) power-play chances. Considering Washington’s struggles at 5v5, a decent performance from Connor Hellebuyck would result in little to no offense for the Caps. Winnipeg has taken a step back offensively this season, averaging just 31.9 shots and 3.19 goals per game. Braden Holtby’s play has improved lately and should help keep the goal scoring to a minimum in this one.

Highest Probability

Bruins @ Avalanche – Spread | BOS +1.5 (-288)

If you’ve checked out the betting lines for tonight’s games, this one should hardly be a surprise to you. The highest probability of any bet tonight, Corsica is giving the Bruins a 75.6% chance of covering a +1.5-goal spread against Colorado. You won’t generate a ton of value from this play but it’s one of the safer investments you’ll find betting NHL games.

While the Avalanche have been dynamite on home ice over the last two seasons, expecting them to win by two against the Bruins is a tall order, to say the least. Not only do the Bruins post some of the stronger possession numbers in the league at 5v5, they’re also extremely effective on special teams. The Avalanche’s penalty kill is surrendering some of the most high-danger chances in the league, a recipe for disaster against Boston’s number-three ranked power-play. Jaroslav Halak continues to be dominant for the Bruins, posting a .945 SV% on the season. Even if all else goes wrong, another strong game from Halak is enough on its own to keep this game close.
