DailyFaceoff DFS Cheat Sheet – November 28th

DailyFaceoff DFS Cheat Sheet – November 28th
DFS

I sincerely apologize for the lack of cheat sheets in recent weeks, but you won’t have to go without them anymore. I was waiting for us to announce our deal with SaberSim, before I started writing these again.

Following the deal with SaberSim, these Cheat Sheets are going to change just a little. It will still be the players that I am targeting with SaberSim intel as well as their projection for that given night on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Below I have listed my favourite centres, wingers, defensemen and goalies for tonight’s slate of Daily Fantasy action. Each player is listed with their prices from both of the Daily Fantasy giants—DraftKings and FanDuelprices are listed as (DraftKings / FanDuel)

Centres

John Tavares – vs. CGY – (DK-$7,300 / FD-$7,600)
SaberSim Projection: DK-4.24 / FD-15.27

Tavares hasn’t scored a goal in nine games, but has picked up six assists and 21 shots (2.33 S/PG) over that span. There isn’t many better ways to cure a scoring drought than a meeting with the Flames, who are giving up the fifth most goals per game with Brian Elliott and his .882 SV% in goal. Tavares is the fourth most expensive forward tonight, but the one “elite” forward I think is a must-own.

Mikael Backlund – @ NYI –  (DK-$4,800 / FD-$5,000)
SaberSim Projection: DK-2.62 / FD-9.23

I don’t particularly love the Flames on the road tonight, but Backlund has been playing extremely well this season, especially as of late. Backlund is a good two-way forward, who has taken his offensive game to a new level this year. In seven games since Johnny Gaudeau was injured, Backlund has two goals, one assist and is averaging 3.14 shots on goal per game.

Paul Stastny – vs. DAL – (DK-$4,600 / FD-$5,300)
SaberSim Projection: DK-2.99 / FD-10.90

The Blues’ first line of Jaden Schwartz-Paul Stastny-David Perron has been on-fire as of late and while others will target the sexier names like Vladimir Tarasenko, I’m rolling with this line. Stastny has two goals and two assists in his last five games and Antti Niemi is giving up goals in bunches on the road this season.

Wingers

Jaden Schwartz – vs. DAL – (DK-$5,800 / FD-$5,800)
SaberSim Projection: DK-2.69 / FD-9.69

Schwartz has picked up seven goals, four assists (11 points) while averaging 2.60 shots on goal per game in his last 10 games. After a slow start, he has heated up and his line is worth stacking up against Niemi and the Stars.

Josh Bailey – vs. CGY – (DK-$4,600 / FD-$4,200)
SaberSim Projection: DK-2.82 / FD-10.19

Bailey isn’t the greatest forward in Brooklyn, but he plays with him and has picked up on goal and three assists in the last six games. Playing with Tavares for the better part of 2016-17 has worked out well for Bailey, but his salary remains low enough to make him the perfect stack with Tavares.

David Perron – vs. DAL – (DK-$4,200 / FD-$4,900)
SaberSim Projection: DK-2.89 / FD-10.35

Are Stastny and Schwartz hot? Yes. But, they’re not picking up points like Perron, who has two goals and eight assists (10 points) in his last seven games. Perron is on-fire and all three of their salaries should enable you to stack the entire line against a Stars team that has lost eight of 11 on the road.

Defensemen

Dougie Hamilton – @ NYI – (DK-$5,000 / FD-$5,200)
SaberSim Projection: DK-1.99 / FD-6.90

SaberSim doesn’t love Hamilton as much as I do tonight. While Mark Giordano is a great option as well, you’ll be able to save some money with Hamilton. Hamilton has five assists in his last five games and has seen his shot total and playing time sky rocket over that time. He is averaging over two shots and nearly two blocked shots per game over the last five, making him a strong pick while he’s hot.

Nick Leddy – vs. CGY – (DK-$4,700 / FD-$4,800)
SaberSim Projection: DK-3.31 / FD-11.60

Leddy has picked up three goals and three assists over his last nine games, while averaging 2.33 shots on goal and 1.56 blocks as well. Leddy leads the Islanders’ power-play that will take on a Flames team that ranks 29th on the penalty-kill this season.

Alex Pietrangelo – vs. DAL – (DK-$5,200 / FD-$5,400)
SaberSim Projection: DK-2.61 / FD-9.05

Pietrangelo is a do-it-all defenseman that provides a stable floor thanks to his high shot and blocked shot totals. In his last nine games, Pietrangelo has two goals and three assists while averaging 3.11 shots on goal and 2.22 blocks per game. Colton Parayko puts up similar numbers if you want to save a little money on the blueline.

Goalies

Thomas Greiss – vs. CGY – (DK-$7,700 / FD-$7,800)
SaberSim Projection: DK-4.64 / FD-18.56

Greiss is coming off of a poor performance in San Jose and hasn’t had the best season so far, but tonight’s matchup makes him worth considering. The Flames had a tough game last night in Philadelphia and the back-to-back with a struggling Brian Elliott in goal makes Greiss one of the safer of just four options.

Jake Allen – vs. DAL – (DK-$8,000 / FD-$8,800)
SaberSim Projection: DK-3.81 / FD-15.25

Allen, like the rest of the Blues lineup is playing very well right now. Allen has won five in a row while posting a 1.77 GAA and .943 SV%. In addition, he has gone 7-0-2 while posting a 1.42 GAA and .947 SV% in nine starts on home-ice this season. He’ll be the chalk play tonight, for good reason.
