DailyFaceoff DFS Value Plays – March 3rd
Kero-Tanner

There are six games tonight and there are some interesting matchups. Lightning legend Mark Streit will face his former team in his Penguins debut and Peter Budaj will be making his own debut in that same game. Frederik Andersen and Jonathan Berneir were traded for each other this summer, but they won’t get a chance to go head-to-head with Curtis McElhinney getting the start for Toronto. Below I’ve listed my favourite value plays for tonight’s six-game slate.

I get a lot of help from our friends at SaberSim when I do these for you and you should start your FREE 7-day Trial right now because their lineup tool is so easy to use and has helped me and many others cash in big this season. Continue reading loanload .co.uk

This Cheat Sheet includes DraftKings salaries as well as SaberSim dfs projections. These projections don’t tell you exactly what’s going to happen. One game samples have too much randomness to pin down exact predictions. Rather, the projections represent what a player’s performance would look like on average if that particular matchup were played over and over again. There is a wide range of possible outcomes, and the projections represent the average of those possibilities for each player.

Phil Di Giuseppe (W) – vs. ARI – $3,600
SaberSim Projection: 2.46

Di Giuseppe has spent most of the year in the AHL, but whenever he gets the call-up, the Hurricanes seem to always give him a tonne of minutes. Since being called up this time around, he has averaged 15:45 TOI and will skate on the top line with Jordan Staal and Teuvo Teravainen tonight. That alone is enough to make him a good value option, but when you factor in he has recorded three assists and is averaging 4.0 shots per game in those six games, he becomes even more intriguing.

Tanner Kero (C) – vs. NYI – $3,500
SaberSim Projection: 1.67

Kero has seen a bump in minutes in the last five games and should see a huge spike in playing time tonight with Artem Anisimov out. Kero is expected to move up to the Blackhawks second line with Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin, which is a huge opportunity for him. Kero has one goal, two assists and eight shots in his last five games and is a premier value play tonight.

Michael Ferland (W) – vs. DET – $3,000
SaberSim Projection: 2.03

Ferland isn’t really known for his goal-scoring, but he’s been doing a lot of it recently. He is currently skating with Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan on the top line and enters play tonight with four goals and 12 shots in his last five games. He is logging important minutes and the Flames are rolling right now.

Mark Streit (D) – vs. TBL – $3,600
SaberSim Projection: 1.71

Streit isn’t having his best offensive year, but a move to Pittsburgh could spark a hot finish from the veteran netminder. He has a lot off offensive ability still in the tank and tonight he’s expected to log some big minutes at even-strength and will start on the second power-play unit. You can pay up for Justin Schultz ($5,000) and the top PP-unit or save $1,400 with Streit, who will be fired up to face his former team, the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Alex Goligoski (D) – @ CAR – $3,500
SaberSim Projection: 0.95

It’s tough to roll out Coyotes in your lineup, but Goligoski come in hot and reasonably priced. Goligoski has tallied one goal, six assists, 11 shots and a ridiculous 21 blocked shots in his last eight games. If you need to save money on the back-end, Goligoski is a good way to do so—particularly against a struggling Hurricanes team.

Carter Hutton (G) – @ WPG – $7,500
SaberSim Projection: 3.63

The Jets have a powerful offence thanks to players like Mark Scheifele and Patrik Laine, but Hutton still represents an interesting value play. He has been one of the best backups in the NHL season and he comes into Friday having posted back-to-back shutouts in his last two outings.
