UPDATE! December 14th – Fantasy Hockey Goalie Rankings

A total of 12 games on the NHL slate today, two started at 2 p.m EST and one at 3 and the rest at regular times. The games to watch this evening are: Boston is in Vancouver for the first time since beating them in Game 7 to win the Stanley Cup three seasons ago. Minnesota travels to Colorado for their third meeting of the season. And then the two Winter Classic teams have awesome matchups tonight, the Red Wings welcome the Penguins to The Joe and Toronto host the Blackhawks.

1. Antti Niemi (@ NSH) – Niemi is 6-4-3 with a 2.32 GAA and .914 SV% on the road.

2. Jaroslav Halak (@ CBJ) – Halak is 6-3-0 with a 2.20 GAA and .914 SV% on the road.

3. Carey Price (@ NYI) –  3-2-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .916 SV% in December.

4. Roberto Luongo (vs. BOS) – Four-game winning streak with just four goals allowed, but very difficult matchup.

5. Tuukka Rask (@ VAN) -Has won three of his last four with a 1.76 GAA and .932 SV%. As solid as they get, you can comfortably start him even with tough matchups.

6. Josh Harding (@ COL) – Has only won three of his last six despite posting a 1.65 GAA and .935 SV%.

7. Semyon Varlamov (vs. MIN) – Varly has looked shaky lately, not the same goalie we saw at the start of the season. Tough matchup, but being at home eases the worry.

8. Antti Raanta (@ TOR) – He will probably allow two goals, but still get the win…

9. Anders Lindback (@ NJ) – Lindback has played very well in his last two starts and he draws a solid matchup tonight.

10. Jonas Gustavsson (vs. PIT) – As great as Gustavsson has been, you have to worried about the matchup.

11. Jeff Zatkoff (@ DET) – 4-2-0 with a 2.80 GAA and .901 SV% on the season.

12. Jonathan Bernier (vs. CHI) – Terrible matchup for a team who is not playing well and gives up a ton of offence.

13. Mike Smith (vs. CAR) – It seems like Smith is basically guaranteed to allow three goals in every start right now.

14. Martin Brodeur  (vs. TB) – Brodeur has just one win in his last five games while allowing a whopping 17 goals.

15. Evgeni Nabokov (vs MTL) – First game back taking on a tough opponent, temper your expectations.

16. Carter Hutton (vs. SJ) – Hutton has played well in his last two starts, but this matchup is an ugly one. (Likely)

17. Mike McKenna (vs. STL) – 4-9-1, 3.41 GAA and .890 SV% in his NHL career.

Unconfirmed

Carolina – Justin Peters / Cam Ward
