DFS Lines to Target: 01/22/20

There are only two games on the NHL schedule tonight before the All-Star break officially commences on Thursday. I’ve gone over my top high-priced, medium-priced and value stacks to help you out. Good luck!

High-Priced

Detroit 1 – Tyler Bertuzzi ($6,200), Dylan Larkin ($7,100), Filip Zadina ($4,900)

Detroit’s top line has a great matchup tonight against the Wild. This Red Wings’ trio will be matched up against Minnesota’s underwhelming third line of Foligno, Eriksson EK and Kunin. Bertuzzi and Larkin have a 51.63 CF% in almost 600 minutes of ice time together this season, while the Minnesota line has a 45.55 CF%. Minnesota is giving up 3.31 goals per game this season, so this line should be able to generate plenty of chances and find the scoresheet.

Larkin has been over a point-per-game player over his last 10 games, while Bertuzzi is coming off a multi-point effort against Colorado. The youngster Zadina has two points in his last three games and holds plenty of upside. All three players in this Red Wings stack also play on the team’s first power-play unit. They will have a great chance to produce against a Minnesota PK that is fifth-worst in the NHL (75.2%).

Medium-Priced

CBJ 1 – Gustav Nyquist ($4,800), Pierre-Luc Dubois ($5,400), Oliver Bjorkstrand ($5,100)

CBJ 1 vs. Winnipeg is arguably best line you can target on the small slate tonight. This trio has done a great job at generating high-danger scoring chances (70 HDCF%) and will see a mix of Winnipeg’s top-nine. The Jets are struggling at five-on-five and have now lost five of their last six games. This Columbus trio will hold the five-on-five advantage in every matchup they see tonight.

Bjorkstrand looked excellent in his return from injury on Saturday, scoring twice on six shots in a win over the Rangers. Both Dubois and Nyquist have been solid producers this season and have hit the 30-point mark. This is also a safe line to target considering all three players are on the first power-play unit. The Jets enter this game with the fourth-worst PK percentage (75%) in the NHL.

Value Stack

Minnesota 2 – Jason Zucker ($5,000), Victor Rask ($2,500), Kevin Fiala ($4,600)

Detroit’s top line has the best matchup in this game, but there’s some nice value with Minnesota’s second line tonight. This line has a 51.06 CF% in a small sample size and will be matched up against Detroit’s third line of Helm, Glendening and Erne, which owns a 36.96 CF%.

Much like Minnesota, Detroit isn’t a good team defensively. The Red Wings are allowing a league-worst 3.88 goals per game and also have the worst penalty kill (73%). Zucker and Fiala both have 27 points this season and play big roles on the team’s second power-play unit. Rask only has one goal in his last 10 games, but he’s also seeing time on the second power-play unit so he’s worth throwing in given the cheap price.
