DFS Lines to Target: 02/17/20

There are five games on the slate for President’s Day in the NHL, including three afternoon affairs. I’ve gone over my top high-priced and value stacks to help you out. Best of luck!

High-Priced

Florida 1 – Jonathan Huberdeau ($6,800), Aleksander Barkov ($7,200), Evgenii Dadonov ($5,600)

Florida’s top line will draw a very favorable matchup in their matchup with the Sharks today. This Panthers trio will be matched up against the Marleau, Goodrow and Noesen line, which has only played 14 minutes of ice time together this season. Noesen comes into this game with some of the worst possession numbers on the team (45.48 CF%), while Goodrow and Marleau only have a 49.08 CF% when together this season. Huberdeau, Barkov and Dadonov, meanwhile, own a 54.00 CF%.

With Evander Kane suspended and Erik Karlsson ruled out for the season, the Panthers should pounce on one of the worst defensive teams in the league. San Jose is allowing 3.24 goals-per-game and are likely to turn in goal to Aaron Dell, who has given up 11 goals in his last three starts. Each player in this stack also offers extra value playing on PP1. When you consider Huberdeau has scored in back-to-back games and has hit 70 points, while Barkov is at a point-per-game pace, it’s hard to find a better stack than Florida 1 against a banged up Sharks team already out of the playoff race.

Value Stack

Vegas 1 – Jonathan Marchessault ($5,700) , Paul Stastny ($4,700), Reilly Smith ($4,700)

Both of Vegas’ top two lines will hold a slight even-strength advantage in their matchup with Washington tonight. The Stone, Pacioretty and Karlsson will likely create more high-danger chances matched up against the Ovechkin line, but Vegas 1 also offers some upside at a better price. Marchessault, Stastny and Smith own a 57.67 CF% this season and will be matched up against Washington 2, which owns a 56.19 CF%.

The value here mainly comes from the Capitals defensive struggles since the All-Star break. Washington is allowing 3.67 GAA per game in that span and have been getting inconsistent goaltending from Braden Holtby. He’s only allowed four goals in his last three appearances, but his save percentage is sitting at .897 on the season. Stastny has three goals and eight points in his last 10 games, while Marchessault has five goals and five assists in that span. Smith continues to be very steady with 22 goals and 45 points through 60 contests. When you consider both Marchessault and Smith are members of PP1, there’s great value to be found in the Golden Knight’s top line tonight.
