DFS Lines to Target: 03/05/20

It’s another 10-game slate for this Thursday evening in the NHL. I’ve highlighted my top high-priced and value stacks to help you out. Good luck!

High-Priced

Toronto 1 – Zach Hyman ($5,800), Auston Matthews ($8,300), Mitch Marner ($7,500)

Toronto’s top line will have another favorable matchup in their game against the Kings tonight. This Toronto trio is very good at generating high-quality chances (56.33 HDCF%) and will draw the the Kings’ first line of Alex Iafallo, Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar, which owns an underwhelming 44.75 HDCF%.

Some of the best value for this stack comes on the power play with Matthews and Marner playing on the first unit. The Kings’ have the fourth-worst PK percentage (76.2) in the league and haven’t been able to shutdown elite man advantage units. Matthews brings a three-game goal streak into this game, while Marner is on a four-game point streak and is playing with tons of confidence following his highlight-reel goal in San Jose. Look for them to strike in all situations against Jonathan Quick, who continues to be inconsistent and owns a .901 save percentage this season.

Value Stack

Edmonton 1 – James Neal ($4,100), Connor McDavid ($7,900), Tyler Ennis ($4,500)

Both of Edmonton’s first two lines are great options in their matchup with the Blackhawks tonight. The top line offers the best value due to the price, but finding a way to fit in Leon Draisaitl (PP1), who has 11 goals in his last 10 games, could end up really paying off. In the last meeting between these two teams back in February, both McDavid and Neal were out with injury and Draisaitl (1G) had four points to lead the team to a 5-3 victory.

With Neal back from injury and McDavid healthy, this could be a very lethal top line with Nuge and Draisaitl clicking on the second line. McDavid and Neal have a 59.42 HDCF% when together this season, while McDavid and Ennis own a 58.82 HDCF% in a small sample size. Edmonton 1 will see a mix of Chicago’s top two lines and neither one has been very good at 5v5. This Blackhawks team is allowing the second-most amount of high-danger chances in the league, making another big night for McDavid and company very possible.
