DFS Value Plays: August 31st

Yanni Gourde (TBL) — $3,000

Gourde was able to avoid injury in Game 3, played in Game 4 and is a great value option for Game 5. The Lightning’s third line has played well throughout the series and Gourde comes into Monday’s game with a CorsiFor% of 60.6, ScoringChancesFor% of 69.1 and has been on the ice for five 5v5 goals in four games. TBL3 has a great matchup against the Charlie Coyle line. When Tampa Bay has last change, they play roughly 60 percent of their ice-time vs. BOS3, who give up an average of 29.2 ScoringChancesAgainst/60.

Jack Studnicka (BOS) — $2,500

You’ll have to pay attention to warmups if you’re considering playing Studnicka tonight. Both Nick Ritchie and Sean Kuraly are game-time decisions, Chris Wagner is out, so Studnicka and/or Anders Bjork could play. Studnicka is the minimum price and has averaged 2.3 shots per game in his four playoff games thus far. Studnicka is a skilled offensive player, so he’s a decent dart throw at the min. price if he gets into the lineup.

Mikhail Sergachev (TBL) — $3,800

I have played Sergachev often throughout the playoffs and he has been mostly disappointing but he can have massive games. In Game 3, he had one goal, two assists, four shots and one block for 28.8 DK Points and that’s GPP winning stuff at $3,800. As the quarterback of their PP1 there’s always a chance for that kind of game, making him an obvious play at this price.

Anton Khudobin (DAL) — $7,400

Khudobin is the cheapest goalie on the slate despite the Stars holding onto a 3-1 lead in the series. He is $800 cheaper than Pavel Francouz and has outscored him 59.5 to 19.3 on DraftKings in the first four games. On a back-to-back, this could be a lower-scoring game and Khudobin is a strong goaltending option in an elimination game. In his 11 playoff starts, Khudobin is 7-4 with a 2.86 GAA and .911 SV%.
