DraftKings lineups are made up of eight skaters and one goalie. Each player is allotted a salary based off of performance and you have $50,000 to build the best team possible that consists of 2C, 3W, 2D, 1UTIL and 1G.

Players will accumulate points as follows:

Goal = +3 pts

Assist = +2 pts

Shot on goal = +0.5 pts

Blocked Shot = +0.5 pts

Short Handed Point = +1 pts

Shootout Goal = +0.2 pts

Hat Trick Bonus = +1.5 pts

Goalies will accumulate points as follows:

Win = +3 pts

Save = +0.2 pts

Goal Against = -1 pts

Shutout Bonus = +2 pts

(Goalies WILL also receive skater points, if they score a goal or record an assist)

To help you build the ideal one-day lineup here are my top centres, wingers, defensemen, goalies and value picks for the February 6th games.

CENTRES

Steven Stamkos – @ ARI ($8,500)

Stamkos has three goals in his last four games and has a beautiful matchup tonight in Arizona. He is third in the NHL in goals and a matchup like this warrants his selection.

Sidney Crosby – @ STL ($7,500)

Even when Crosby is “struggling” he is still unreal. He has four goals and two assists in his last eight games, but has been held off of the point sheet for three games in a row. When Sidney Crosby is $7,500, I’ll buy that all day.

Eric Staal – @ NJ – ($5,400)

Staal had a goal, an assist and four shots last night and will face Keith Kinkaid tonight. He didn’t do me wrong yesterday, so I will roll with him again tonight .

Ryan Kesler – @ EDM – ($4,900)

Kesler has been held off of the score sheet for six games in a row, but got a chance to play with Corey Perry last night. Assuming that is the case again tonight, his $4,900 price tag is more than affordable for a player with 37 career points vs. Edmonton.

David Desharnais – vs. CBJ ($3,600)

Curtis McElhinney has been playing well as of late, but he has a career .906 SV%. Desharnais is still cheap despite having two goals and seven assists (9 points) in his last nine games.

WINGERS

Max Pacioretty – vs. CBJ ($8,500)

Pacioretty has 10 points (4G / 6A) in 10 games in February and see Desharnais, David for why he is a strong choice tonight.

Corey Perry – @ EDM ($7,100)

Pairing him with Kesler would not be a bad idea at all vs. the Oilers. Perry has nine points (5G / 4A) in his last nine games and is nearly a point per game player on the road.

Tyler Toffoli – @ SJ ($6,300)

You want to take one player from this outdoor game in case it is high-scoring, so why not make that player Toffoli. He is hotter than a pistol right now having scored six goals and three assists in his last six games.

Ryan Callahan – @ ARI ($5,000)

Callahan has registered two goals and four assists in his last eight games and he is strictly a duo with Stamkos with a sexy matchup in Arizona.

DEFENSEMEN

Tyler Myers – @ TOR ($5,000)

There are three reasons to pick Myers. 1. The Leafs are awful. 2. He has four points in four games with the Jets. 3. It looks like he will play top-pair minutes tonight with Dusting Byfuglien expected to go back to forward.

Aaron Ekblad – @ OTT ($3,800)

Ekblad has had an amazing rookie season, but has seen his salary drop to $3,800 recently. He has two goals and one assist in his last seven, but should be able to get back on the scoresheet tonight with a nice matchup in Ottawa.

Nathan Beaulieu – vs. CBJ ($2,500)

With Alexei Emelin out, Beaulieau has played 24:00 and 25:10 in the last two games. In that time he has scored one goal with five shots. He will play major minutes and have a role on the second PP unit, making him a nice buy-low player.

GOALIES

Carey Price – vs. CBJ – ($9,600)

Price is an unreal start whenever he gets the nod. Tonight he has a nice matchup vs. the Blue Jackets. He comes in with a 5-1-1 record, a 1.39 GAA and .943 SV% in February.

Roberto Luongo – @ OTT – ($8,100)

Luongo has won two in a row while stopping 64 of 68 shots (.941 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight it looks like he will face a Senators team who he made 22 saves against in 1-0 loss back in October.

Anton Khudobin – @ NJ – ($6,800)

Khudobin has struggled recently (0-2-1 with a 4.36 GAA and .843 SV% in his last 3 starts) but he is a strong cheap option vs. Devils and going head-to-head with Kinkaid.
