To help you build the ideal one-day lineup here are my top centres, wingers, defensemen, goalies and value picks for the February 6th games.

NOTE: Top goalie plays will be updated later in the day when most goalies are confirmed!

Centers

Tyler Seguin ($8,700) – @ BUF

Seguin has no goals in his last six games, but still sits third in the NHL with 28. However, in those six contests he has registered five assists and if there was ever a matchup where Seguin will get back into the goal column, it is tonight in Buffalo.

Joe Pavelski ($8,500) – vs. CAR

Pavelski has been on  tear lately, scoring goals in five of his last seven games, totalling six goals and one assist over that span. This last two weeks has vaulted Pavelski into a tie for third in the NHL with 28 goals. He is one of the league’s hottest goal scorers right now, so ride him into this splendid matchup vs. the Hurricanes.

Joe Thornton ($5,400) – vs. CAR

If Pavelski is scoring goals, someone has to be feeding him the biscuit and that someone is Thornton. Big Joe has two goals and eight assists in his last eight games. That Sharks top-line is clicking right now and Thornton comes with a beautiful salary.

Pavel Datsyuk ($5,100) – @ ARI

Datsyuk has assists in three straight games and one goal with seven assists in his last nine games. Despite being one of the NHL’s most dynamic talents, he comes with a great salary. With the Wings in Arizona to take on the Coyotes 27th ranked defence, Datsyuk should extend his point-streak to four.

Alex Galchenyuk ($4,800) – vs. NJ

Galchenyuk is still struggling to find regular consistency, but recently he has tallied five goals and two assists in his last nine games. He plays top-6 minutes, sees lots of PP time and with Keith Kinkaid in goal for the Devils, Galchenyuk makes a nice, cheap option.

Wingers

Jamie Benn ($8,300) – @ BUF

Benn has a five-game point streak and four goals and seven assists in his last eight games. Along with Seguin, these two are an extremely dangerous duo and lets face it, they’re going to dominate the Sabres.

Max Pacioretty ($7,600) – vs. NJD

Pacioretty loves to fire the rubber and dating back to January 2nd, he has nine goals and four assists (13 points) in his last 13 games. Over that span he has also averaged 4.31 shots per game. If he gets four shots on Kinkaid tonight, I’m willing to bet one goes in.

Gustav Nyquist ($5,300) – @ ARI

The Red Wings have the NHL’s best power-play and the Coyotes have the 27th ranked penalty kill. Nyquist leads the Wings and is third in the NHL with 12 power-play goals, if they get some PP chances tonight, Nyquist should capitalize.

Milan Lucic ($4,800) – vs. NYI

Lucic has two goals and two assists in his last four games and with a cheap price tag and Chad Johnson getting the start for the Islanders, Lucic could be a solid, cheap filler.

Tomas Tatar ($4,600) – @ ARI

Tatar has just two points in his last five games, but six goals and four assists (10 points) in his last 10 games. Playing with Datsyuk and being able to pair them together on DraftKings and still have $40,300 left to spend is a steal vs. the Coyotes.

Defensemen

Keith Yandle ($6,100) – vs. DET

It is not the best matchup, but the way Yandle has been going as of late, if you have the money to spend, spend it here. Yandle has 11 assists in his last 10 games and hey, the Red Wings are interested in trading for him, maybe he will put on a show to get him out of the desert.

Brent Burns ($5,800) – vs. CAR

Burns has four assists in his last five games and there aren’t many defensemen that shoot as much as Burns (147 shots)—The Sharks are hot and the Hurricanes are a nice matchup for Burns to pick up his 40th point of the season.

John Klingberg ($4,900) – @ BUF

However, Klingberg has four goals and six assists (10 points) in his last eight games and has the best of match ups tonight. On top of that he is the cheapest of the three options, must-own.

Value Picks

Patrick Eaves ($4,000) – @ BUF

Since returning to the lineup five games ago, Eaves has been playing on the top-line with Seguin and Benn. If you are going for a Dallas stack, Eaves is great option. Over that five game stretch he has three goals, one assist and 14 shots.

David Desharnais ($3,800) – vs. NJD

Desharnais was bumped up to the top-line on Thursday and will play beside Pacioretty tonight for just $3,800. He has two goals and four assists in his last seven games.

Marc Methot ($3,200) – vs. CBJ

Methot plays huge minutes beside Erik Karlsson and has collected four assists in his last five games. He doesn’t shoot much or play the PP, but for $3,200 and a strong matchup, you can hope for an assist and some blocked shots.

Luke Glendening ($3,000) – @ ARI

Since the All Star break, Glendening has a new-found confidence with the puck on his stick. He has three goals (one ENG) in four games. But it it is his 11 shots (2.75 S/PG) which is up from his 1.17 before the break.

Stefan Elliott ($2,500) – @ MIN

With Tyson Barrie still out, Elliott will suit up for a second straight game. It isn’t a very good matchup the way Devan Dubnyk has been playing, but he is an excellent basement salary option. He had four shots on Thursday and played 16:18 with 3:20 coming on the power-play. Expect much of the same tonight.

Goalies

Antti Niemi ($8,800) – vs. CAR

Niemi has won four of his last five starts while registering a 1.97 GAA and .938 SV%. He draws a great home matchup where he is 11-5-4 this year. Carolina is 2-2-1 while averaging 2.60 goals per game since the All Star break.

Petr Mrazek ($7,600) – @ ARI

Mrazek has won seven of his previous nine outings while posting a 2.67 GAA and .906 SV%. He has been great while Jimmy Howard has been sidelined and look for him to close things out on a high-note tonight in Arizona.

Anders Lindback ($6,700) – @ BUF

Lindback is coming off of a nice conditioning stint where he went 1-0-1 with a 1.89 GAA and .946 SV%. He should return with a renewed confidence and he draws a perfect matchup to keep things trending in the right direction.
