February 4th – Fantasy Hockey Goalie Rankings

Nine games on the NHL slate tonight with a number of Olympic goaltending matchups. We have Rask (Finland) vs. Luongo (Canada), Lundqvist (Sweden) vs. Varlamov (Russia) and Smith (Canada) vs. Lehtonen (Finland). If you don’t know which goaltenders to start tonight, this is here to help! You start the goalies who are ranked the highest… Simple right? Good Luck to all!

  1. Tuukka Rask (vs. VAN) – Rask is a top tendy in the NHL and faces a Canucks team who have lost four in a row while being outscored 14-8.
  2. Carey Price (vs. CGY) – Price has a 1.99 GAA and .944 SV% in back-to-back losses. Tonight he will face a Flames team who have won five in a row.
  3. Ben Bishop (@ MIN) – Bishop is 4th in wins (27), 3rd in GAA (1.98) and 2nd in SV% (.933), so yeah… You start him vs. a Wild team who has lost three of four.
  4. Henrik Lundqvist (vs. COL) – Lundqvist has won three in a row while allowing just five goals. He sits at 20-18-3 on the season but was a fantastic 8-3-1 in January.
  5. Jonathan Bernier (@ FLA) – Bernier has won three in a row while posting a 2.67 GAA and .925 SV% and faces a Panthers team who have won three in a row.
  6. Jaroslav Halak (vs. OTT) – Halak finished January at 6-2-0 with a 1.70 GAA and .939 SV%. It was an extremely good month for the Olympian, roll him out vs. the Senators with confidence.
  7. Roberto Luongo (@ BOS) – Lu was 3-4-0 with a 2.55 GAA and .921 SV% in seven January starts.
  8. Semyon Varlamov (@ NYR) – Varlamov is 2nd in the NHL in wins (28) and 6th in SV% (.925), however his GAA is suffering a bit as he is 18th (2.43).
  9. Anton Khudobin (vs. WPG) – Khudobin was named the first star of the month of January going 10-4-0 with a 2.19 GAA and .927 SV%.
  10. Mike Smith (vs. DAL) – Smith enters play on Tuesday with 12-7-3 record, a 2.72 GAA and .908 SV% at home this season.
  11. Ondrej Pavelec (@ CAR) – Pavelec went 6-5-0 with a 2.90 GAA and .894 SV% in January, but has won six of his last eight.
  12. Kari Lehtonen (vs. PHX) – Lehtonen wrapped January up at 4-7-2 with a 2.79 GAA and .900 SV%. and enters Phoenix with a 11-8-3 road record this season.
  13. Evgeni Nabokov (@ WSH) – Nabby is 0-2-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .924 SV% in two starts since returning from his leg injury
  14. Darcy Kuemper (vs. TBL) – Despite allowing a combined eight goals in consecutive losses, the Wild will stick with Kuemper, who is 6-3-2 with a 2.63 GAA and .913 SV% on the season.
  15. Robin Lehner (@ STL) – In five starts on 7-plus days of rest Lehner 1-3-1 with a 3.82 GAA and .905 SV% with one shutout. It has been nine days since his last start…
  16. Michael Neuvirth (vs. NYI) – Neuvirth is 4-2-0 with a 3.05 GAA and .902 SV% in Washington this season.
  17. Tim Thomas (vs. TOR) – Thomas has allowed at least three goals and a total of 28 goals in his last seven starts (4.00 GA/game)
  18. Reto Berra (@ MTL) – Berra is 3-5-0, 3.52 GAA and .897 SV% on the road this season.
