Flyers acquire Rasmsus Ristolainen in exchange for 13th overall pick and 2023 second

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired Rasmus Ristolainen from the Buffalo Sabres, according to multiple reports.

The return from the Flyers is Robert Hagg along with the 13th overall pick in tonight’s draft and a 2023 second-round pick.

Ristolainen, 26, is entering the final year of his contract, and carries a cap hit of $5.4 million. He will be an unrestricted free agent next offseason.

The Flyers are banking on some improvement from Ristolainen with a change of scenery, because the results in Buffalo haven’t been pretty:

The NHL Draft goes tonight at 8 PM EST.
