With the NHL offseason fully in swing there are plenty of betting props now posted at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com. That includes NHL free agency odds, with defenseman Dougie Hamilton taking center stage as he gets set to become an unrestricted free agent.

Hamilton put up 42 points in 55 games for the Carolina Hurricanes this past season, which will make him a sought-after player for teams looking to bolster their offense from the blue line. And the Philadelphia Flyers have been listed as the favorite at online betting sites to be Hamilton’s next home, at +175 odds (how the moneyline works). The Seattle Kraken are next at +225, followed by a return to the Hurricanes at +300. The Chicago Blackhawks (+600), Winnipeg Jets (+700), and Columbus Blue Jackets (+750) round out the betting board.

Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin is also scheduled to hit the market this summer, but him leaving the only NHL team he has ever known is listed as a longshot at betting sites. Ovechkin is set as heavy -850 chalk to still be on the Capitals’ roster when next season gets underway, with the ‘any other NHL team’ option set as a lengthy +450 underdog.

The Colorado Avalanche and their captain Gabriel Landeskog have yet to agree upon a contract extension, but the Avs are still the favorite at -330 to have Landeskog in the lineup again next season. Landeskog, who has put up 512 points in 687 career NHL games with Colorado, is at +285 odds to sign with the Kraken, with the Los Angeles Kings and Anaheim Ducks both pegged at +800 odds, and the Boston Bruins also on the board at +1600 odds.

The Bruins are favorites to retain the services of forward Taylor Hall at even odds, after he put up 14 points in 16 games for them during the regular season and five points in 11 contests during the playoffs. The New York Islanders (+225) are set second on the Hall betting prop.

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Zach Hyman is set at -125 to return to the team for next season, but the Edmonton Oilers (+250), New York Rangers (+500), Chicago Blackhawks (+550), and Ottawa Senators (+600) are also listed as options on the board. Hyman had 33 points in 43 games for the Maple Leafs last season, but only one point in seven games in the playoffs.

Others on the free agency odds board for this summer include Tyson Barrie, with the defenseman at +150 to return to the Oilers and +190 to go to the Blackhawks. Defenseman Ryan Suter, bought out by the Minnesota Wild, is listed at +200 to move on to both the Rangers and the New Jersey Devils, while fellow Wild buyout Zach Parise sits at +150 odds to continue his career with the Islanders and +200 odds to return to the Devils organization.
