Subban appeared in one game for Columbus during his recall and impressed despite losing with 32 saves on 35 shots (.914 SV%) but has been reassigned to Cleveland (AHL) on Monday for the playoff push. The 30-year-old veteran returns to Cleveland, where he has struggled since being acquired at the trade deadline, with his 0-3-0 record, 4.56 GAA and .853 SV%.

Kopitar (undisclosed) is doubtful to play on Monday after missing the Kings' morning skate.

Kopitar did not play on Saturday and could miss a second straight game on Monday against the Minnesota Wild. Kopitar has four points (0G / 2A) in his last three games and 70 points (26G / 44A) in 79 games this season. On Saturday, Pierre-Luc Dubois centred the top line with Quinton Byfield and Adrian Kempe.

The Kings continue their fight for playoff positioning on Monday and will turn to Talbot between the pipes against the Minnesota Wild. Talbot has played well lately, allowing three or fewer goals in four straight (3-1-0), including saving 22 of 23 shots (.957 SV%) in his most recent outing, a 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames. The Kings enter action as -168 home favourites.

MacDonald missed the Sharks' previous game due to an undisclosed injury and will miss the remainder of the regular season after not travelling with the team on their road trip on Monday. The 31-year-old ends his 2023-24 with a career-high seven goals and 34 games played, alongside his two assists, 49 SOG and 23 PIMs.

Hoffman had missed the Sharks' previous two games due to an undisclosed injury and will miss the remainder of 2023-24 season after not travelling to Edmonton on Monday. The 34-year-old ends a forgettable season after putting up his worst goal (10) and point production (23) since his rookie season in 2013-14.

Barabanov has been out since March 26th due to a lower-body injury and will expectedly remain out for the remainder of the 2023-24 season after not travelling with San Jose on their road trip. The 29-year-old had an extremely down season after finishing 2022-23 with 47 points, with four goals, 13 points, 67 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -24 plus/minus through 46 injury-riddled games played.

Romanov has been recalled from the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).

Mackenzie Blackwood is out for the remainder of the season due to an undisclosed injury, prompting the Sharks to recall Romanov. The 24-year-old Romanov has a 3.14 GAA and .904 SV% in 29 games (9-9-8) with the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) this season.

Cooley will start on Monday vs. Edmonton.

The Sharks will turn to Cooley in the crease for the third time in the last six games on Monday against the Edmonton Oilers. Cooley has been tremendous in his last two starts, allowing two or fewer goals in each, including a sensational performance in his most recent outing, saving 49 of 50 shots (.980 SV%) in a 3-1 win over the Seattle Kraken. That said, the Sharks enter action as significant +428 road underdogs.
