Jonathan Gruden has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Gruden appeared in four games this season but failed to pick up a point while collecting a -2 plus/minus and has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) Monday. The 23-year-old left-winger returns to the AHL, where he had 10 points (5G/5A) and 22 PIMs in 21 games played prior to his promotion.

Marc Johnstone has been reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL).

Johnstone made his NHL debut at the age of 27 after an inspirational journey on December 8th but has yet to dress since and was reassigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) Monday. He returns to the minors, where he earned his first career promotion after putting up five points (2G/3A) and 17 PIMs in 21 games played.

Oskar Lindblom (lower body) has been reassigned to the San Jose Barracuda (AHL).

Lindblom has been out due to injury since November 10th and was reassigned to the San Jose Barracuda (AHL) Monday now that he is healthy. The 27-year-old was only able to appear in one game for the Sharks prior to his injury but will return to the minor, where he had two points (1G/1A) in eight games earlier in the season.

Alex Lyon (lower body) is considered out week-to-week.

Lyon exited Saturday's game for the Red Wings in the second period after saving 14 of 15 shots (.933 SV%) with a lower-body injury. It was announced before Monday's game that he is week-to-week after he did not participate in practice on Monday. Ville Husso will likely see the majority of the action while Lyon is out, with James Reimer serving as the backup.

Anton Lundell (illness) has been placed on the Injured Reserve.

Lundell is battling an illness and will miss his third straight game on Monday against the Calgary Flames. Lundell has 12 points (2G / 10A) in 22 games this season, most recently playing on a line with Evan Rodrigues and Eetu Luostarinen.

Kiefer Sherwood (upper body) is expected to rejoin the Predators' lineup Tuesday vs. Vancouver.

Sherwood was a late scratch for Friday's game with the team announcing his absence less than 15 minutes before the puck drop and did not play on Saturday either. He is expected to return to the lineup on Tuesday. Sherwood has 11 points (5G / 6A), 51 shots, and 83 hits in 29 games this season, playing predominantly on a line with Tommy Novak and Luke Evangelista,

Sean Day has been reassigned to Syracuse (AHL).

Day was recalled last week but did not crack the Lightning lineup during his stint at the NHL level. The 25-year-old Day was the third-round pick of the New York Rangers in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft and will return to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL, where he has eight points (0G / 8A) in 16 games this season.

Joe Snively has been reassigned to Hershey (AHL) on Monday.

Snively played the last three games for the Capitals, averaging less than nine minutes per night, scoring zero points and zero shots. He will return to the Hershey Bears of the AHL where he has 21 points (7G / 14A) in 25 games this season.

John Gibson (personal) has been placed on the Ducks' non-roster to attend the birth of his child.

Gibson allowed one goal on 19 shots before leaving Sunday's win in New Jersey due to dehydration. Lukas Dostal stopped all 10 shots that he faced in relief. The Ducks recalled Calle Clang from the San Diego Gulls (AHL) on Monday to serve as the backup for Lukas Dostal, as Gibson will be away from the team to attend the birth of his child.

Aaron Ekblad (lower body) will return Monday vs. Calgary.

Ekblad left Thursday's game with a lower-body injury, did not play on Saturday, but is likely to return to action on Monday against the Calgary Flames. Through 13 games this season, Ekblad has four points (0G / 4A) and is averaging a career-low 21:02 time-on-ice, playing predominantly alongside Gustav Forsling on the Panthers' top defensive pair.

Connor Ingram will start Tuesday vs. Ottawa.

After two poor outings, Ingram has sported consecutive strong starts and will return to the crease on Tuesday against the Ottawa Senators. In his last two games (1-1-0), Ingram has saved 60 of 63 shots (.952 SV%), including his league-leading third shutout of this season. The Coyotes have a favourable matchup on Tuesday against a Senators team searching for their first win in four games and is playing their first game after firing head coach D.J. Smith.

Anthony Stolarz will start Monday in Calgary.

Stolarz will start for the third time this month and look for his second consecutive victory, building off a 17-save performance (.895 SV%) in a 5-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets on December 10th. The 29-year-old netminder has played well when called upon this season, posting a 2.19 GAA and .914 SV% through eight games (4-2-1). The Panthers are -117 road favourites on Monday against the Calgary Flames, who have lost four of their last five (1-2-2) and will welcome back their starting goalie, Jacob Markstrom.

Shea has been a regular in the lineup for the Penguins this season but has been a healthy scratch for the last three games. His placement on unconditional waivers coincides with Chad Ruhwedel preparing to return to the Penguins lineup and Pierre-Olivier Joseph returning last week.
