Daniel Vladar will start Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

With Jacob Markstrom out week-to-week with a fractured finger, Vladar will assume the role of starting goaltender on Tuesday against the Minnesota Wild. The Flames have also recalled Dustin Wolf from the Calgary Wranglers of the AHL and will presumably have the two netminders battle it out for starts while Markstrom is unable to play. Vladar has been inconsistent this season but is coming off his strongest performance to date, a 27-save (.964 SV%) 2-1 overtime victory over the Vegas Golden Knights. The Flames are slight +102 home underdogs against a Wild team that won three straight since their coaching change, outscoring their opposition 13-3.

Dan Vladar
Boris Katchouk will be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. Nashville.

Katchouk will be a healthy scratch, allowing Lukas Reichel to return to the lineup after his first scratch of the season on Sunday. Katchouk has four points (2G / 2A), 23 shots, and 14 hits in 17 games this season.

Boris Katchouk
Lukas Reichel is expected to draw back into the Blackhawks' lineup Tuesday vs. Nashville.

Reichel was a healthy scratch in the Blackhawks' 4-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild on Sunday but will return to the lineup to skate on a line with Ryan Donato and Mackenzie Entwistle. The 17th overall pick of the Blackhawks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft has struggled to find his footing this season, scoring only six points (2G / 4A) and registering a -17 plus/minus through 22 games.

Phoenix Copley was in the starter's crease at the Kings' morning skate.

Copley and Cam Talbot were originally slated to be a timeshare tandem, but a horrid start to the season for Copley derailed that plan and saw him see limited action in the first six weeks of the season. Since then, Copley has regained some trust from the Kings' coaching staff, as he has a sensational .980 SV% across his last two outings (2-0-0) and is expected to start for the third time in seven games. The Kings have a favourable matchup for Copley on Tuesday as they are -199 road favourites against a Columbus Blue Jackets team that ranks in the bottom third of the league offensively (2.85 GF / GP).

Pheonix Copley
Brock Nelson (undisclosed) will play Tuesday vs. San Jose after originally being a game-time decision.

Nelson scored two points (0G / 2A) on Saturday against the Florida Panthers but exited the game with an undisclosed injury after playing 15:04 time-on-ice. Nelson did not participate in practice on Monday but has been deemed ready to play on Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks. Nelson's two-point outburst on Saturday ended a three-game pointless skid for the 11-year veteran.

Brock Nelson
Noah Dobson (undisclosed) will play Tuesday vs. San Jose after originally being a game-time decision.

After not participating in practice on Monday for maintenance, Dobson will play on Tuesday. Dobson ranks seventh in the league with 25:09 average time-on-ice per game and is sixth amongst all defensemen with 21 points (5G / 16A) in 23 games, recording five (0G / 5A) in his last three alone. He is currently on pace to shatter his career-high 51-point output from the 2021-22 season.

Noah Dobson
Igor Shesterkin was the first goalie off the ice at the Rangers' morning skate.

Shesterkin will likely start on Tuesday after having the night off in the back end of a back-to-back on Sunday. The 27-year-old Russian netminder has elevated his game recently after a sluggish start, by his standards, to the season. Shesterkin has won three of his last four outings (3-1-0), allowing only 10 goals and posting a .929 SV%. The Rangers are -139 road favourites as they visit an Ottawa Senators team coming off a 2-0 shutout victory over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday.

Igor Shesterkin
Matt Benning will be a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. the New York Islanders.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic will re-enter the Sharks' lineup to play only his second game since November 14th as Benning will be a healthy scratch for the first time since November 22nd. Benning is averaging 18:29 time-on-ice this season and has two points (0G / 2A) through 14 games.

Matt Benning
Marc-Edouard Vlasic will draw back into the Sharks' lineup Tuesday vs. the Islanders.

Matt Benning will be a healthy scratch on Tuesday, allowing Vlasic to return to the lineup for only his second game since November 14th. Vlasic has zero points and -8 plus/minus in 14 games this season and is expected to play on the Sharks' second defensive pair alongside Calen Addison.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic
Kaapo Kahkonen will start Tuesday at the New York Islanders.

Kahkonen has settled into his role as the Sharks' backup goaltender this season, with three quality starts in his last four outings, and will start on Tuesday against the New York Islanders. Kahkonen is riding consecutive wins for the first time this season and has saved 74 of the last 80 shots he has faced (.925 SV%). The Sharks and Kahkonen face off against the sixth-worst offence in the league (2.78 GF / GP) but are still considerable +279 road underdogs against the Islanders.

Kaapo Kahkonen
Jordan Greenway (upper body) has been placed on the Injured Reserve and will be out for the next 7-10 days.

Greenway did not play on Sunday, has missed four of the Sabres' last six games, and is expected to be out for an additional seven to 10 days with an upper-body injury. Greenway's offensive pedigree has not materialized since being traded to the Sabres late last season, scoring only 11 points (6G / 5A) in 38 combined games.

Jordan Greenway
Alex Tuch (undisclosed) has been placed on the Injured Reserve and will be out for the next 7-10 days.

Tuch is expected to miss seven to 10 days with an undisclosed injury. Tuch's absence from the lineup will be a sizeable blow for a Sabres team that already struggles to score goals (2.84 GF / GP) but, luckily for the Sabres, Tage Thompson (upper-body) will return from a multi-week injury just as Tuch exits the lineup.

Alex Tuch
Eric Comrie will start Tuesday vs. Detroit.

With Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen recovering from an illness, the Sabres have called Devon Levi, who is expected to serve as the backup to Eric Comrie on Tuesday. Comrie has been inconsistent through six games this season (1-4-0), posting an ugly 3.99 GAA and .864 SV%. and has failed to record a quality start since his season debut on October 21st. The Sabres have struggled to score, losing three straight contests, and, as such, are +119 home underdogs against a rolling Detroit Red Wings team that has won five of their last six outings (5-1-0).

Eric Comrie
Jacob Markstrom (fractured finger) is week-to-week after a fluke practice incident.

Markstrom will be out week-to-week with a fractured finger, an injury sustained after taking a puck to his hand at practice on Monday. Dustin Wolf has been recalled from the Calgary Wranglers of the AHL in the interim, which could be an opportunity for the promising youngster to get a deeper look at the NHL level as he battles it out for starts with Dan Vladar.

Jacob Markstrom
Dustin Wolf has been recalled from the Calgary Wranglers (AHL).

Jacob Markstrom is out week-to-week with a fractured finger, resulting in the call-up of Dustin Wolf from the Calgary Wranglers of the AHL. Wolf was unspectacular in his one game with the Flames earlier this season, allowing four goals on 34 shots (.895 SV%) in a losing effort, but will likely get a deeper look with an extended stay with the team. With the Wranglers, Wolf has been excellent, boasting a 2.50 GAA and .920 SV% in 13 games (10-3-0).

Dustin Wolf
Arvid Soderblom was in the starter's crease at Chicago's morning skate Tuesday.

Soderblom has only one victory in his last nine appearances but will likely start on Tuesday for a struggling Blackhawks team that has been outscored 12-3 over their last three games (0-3-0). Soderblom has an undesirable 3.71 GAA and .883 SV% in 11 games (2-8-0) this season as the Blackhawks are sizeable +167 home underdogs against a Nashville Predators team that ranks mid-pack in the league offensively (3.17 GF / GP).

Arvid Soderblom
Filip Zadina (lower body) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice and is expected to return Tuesday vs. the Islanders.

Zadina has not suited up for the last five games due to a lower-body injury but is expected to make his return to the Sharks lineup on Tuesday against the New York Islanders. Zadina has struggled in his first season with the Sharks, as has most of the team, scoring five points (3G / 2A) and registering an ugly -19 plus/minus through 20 games.
