The 21-year-old Sophmore is enjoying another breakout season on a less-than-stellar Ducks team, with 13 goals, 31 points, 97 SOG, 62 PIMs and a -17 plus/minus through 43 games before the injury. He will resume his top-six role in Anaheim's lineup.

Shattenkirk was a healthy scratch for the Bruins' previous two games but will draw back in Tuesday as he replaces Parker Wotherspoon. The 35-year-old veteran defenseman has struggled to produce in his first season in Boston, with five goals, eight assists, 61 SOG, 12 PIMs and -5 plus/minus through 42 games played.

Kahkonen will tend the twine on Wednesday when the Sharks play their first game in two weeks. Bellemare has been on injured reserve since suffering a broken bone in his leg in mid-December but appears to be ready to return imminently, right on cue with his original six-week prognosis. Philp had the potential to make the Blackhawks' opening night roster but was placed on the injured reserve after undergoing Achilles surgery in the offseason. The 27-year-old forward appeared in three games for Chicago in 2022-23 and picked up an assist and two PIMs. He played the majority of last season in Rockford, where he had 29 goals, 53 points and a +17 plus/minus in 60 games played.

After playing five straight for the Rangers, Pitlick was a healthy scratch on Monday before being placed on waivers on Tuesday. Adam Edstrom replaced Pitlick in the lineup on Monday. In 34 games this season, Pitlick has four points (1G / 3A) while averaging 10:12 time-on-ice.

Rempal was recalled to take the place of Paul Cotter (illness) in the lineup for Monday's game against the Wild. He tallied one shot on goal and was held scoreless in 9:06 time-on-ice. Rempal has two goals in five games with the Golden Knights this season.
