The 24-year-old has struggled mightily out of the gate in 2023-24, with one assist, 17 SOG, two PIMs, and a -2 plus/minus in nine games after putting up 14 goals and 35 points in 2022-23.

Cody Glass
Philipp Grubauer (undisclosed) left Monday's game with an injury and is considered day-to-day.

Grubauer left the Kraken's game Monday vs. Calgary after the first period due to an undisclosed injury and did not practice Tuesday. He is considered day-to-day and Chris Driedger is expected to get the call-up in his absense. The 31-year-old netminder is on pace for his worst statistical season in his three years in Seattle, as he is 5-6-0 with a .885 SV% and a 3.36 GAA.

Philipp Grubauer

Jordan Harris
Petr Mrazek will start Wednesday in Columbus.

Mrazek will look to snap a two-game losing streak as he takes the crease Wednesday in Columbus. The 31-year-old has enjoyed an impressive bounce-back season after two rough campaigns in a row, as he is 4-5-0 with a .915 SV% and 2.89 GAA this year. They will head to Columbus to take on the downfalling Blue Jackets, who have lost nine straight and are 27th in the NHL in goals (2.68).

Petr Mrazek
Bryan Rust (lower body) is being evaluated and is expecting an update in the upcoming days.

Rust is being evaluated by the Penguins' training staff Tuesday for a lower-body injury and is considered out until there are more updates. If he is forced to miss a chunk of time it would be a shame as the 31-year-old winger is on pace for career highs in almost all categories as he has nine goals, seven assists, 55 SOG, and a +10 plus/minus through 17 games played.

Bryan Rust
Rickard Rakell (upper body) was placed on the long-term injured reserve and will be out week-to-week.

Rakell has struggled so far in 2023-24 with no goals and only four assists, 44 SOG, two PIMs, and a -2 plus/minus in 17 games but will now be forced out long-term with an upper-body injury. The 30-year-old right winger joins Bryan Rust, and Chad Ruhwedel on Pittsburgh's growing injury report Tuesday.

Rickard Rakell
Chad Ruhwedel (lower body) was placed on the injured reserve and is out week-to-week.

Ruhwedel left the Penguins' game Sunday vs. Vegas after 10:48 TOI with a lower-body injury and is considered out week-to-week. The 33-year-old stay-at-home defenseman has an assist, nine SOG, two PIMs, and a -3 plus/minus in 15 games prior to the injury this season.

Chad Ruhwedel
Nico Hischier (upper body) will remain out Wednesday vs. Detroit after skating in full in practice.

Hischier skated for his second full practice on Tuesday but will not play Wednesday as New Jersey heads to Detroit. The 24-year-old center has missed the Devils' previous nine games but is expected to practice again Wednesday. He has two goals, 14 SOG, four PIMs and a -2 plus/minus in seven games prior to his injury last month.

Nico Hischier
Jake Walman (undisclosed) will be in Detroit's lineup Wednesday vs. New Jersey after leaving their previous game early.

Walman left the Red Wings' Stadium Series showdown vs. Toronto after just 14 shifts and 12:29 TOI due to an undisclosed injury but fully practiced Tuesday and is expected to play Wednesday vs. New Jersey. It is great news for the Red Wings as their top paired defensemen has been off to a fantastic start early with four goals, three assists, 31 SOG, 18 PIMs and a +5 plus/minus in 17 games this season.

Jake Walman
Alex Lyon will start Wednesday vs. New Jersey.

Lyon made his Red Wings debut vs. Toronto in Sweden for the Global Series and lost after allowing three goals on 29 shots (.897 SV%) but will take crease Wednesday vs. New Jersey. The 30-year-old signed a two-year, $1,800,000 contract with the Red Wings in the offseason after posting a 9-4-2 record, .914 SV%, and 2.89 GAA with Florida in 2022-23. Alex Lyon

Fix-Wolansky appeared in one game for the Blue Jackets and had 17 shifts and 12:32 TOI but has been reassigned to Cleveland (AHL) on Tuesday. The 24-year-old right-winger returns to the AHL where he was dominant prior to his recall, with four goals, 16 points, eight PIMs and a +7 plus/minus in 11 games.

Trey Fix-Wolansky
Grubauer will start against the Flames on Monday.

Grubauer has started two straight for the Kraken and will start again on Monday against the Calgary Flames. Despite having won an impressive five of his last seven games (5-2-0), Grubauer is doing the bare minimum between the pipes for the Kraken, posting a subpar .884 SV% during that stretch. In fact, three of Grubauer's five wins have been sub-.885 SV% performances as the German goaltender has only three quality starts through 11 games this season. The Kraken are slight -104 home underdogs against a Flames team that has collected a point in three straight (2-0-1).
