Skinner will look for his fourth consecutive win Saturday after he beat Seattle stopping 32 of 25 shots (.914 SV%) in his previous start. The 25-year-old was an All-Star last season but has struggled out of the gate in 2023-24, with his 4-5-1 record, 3.23 GAA, and .880 SV%. He will face Tampa Bay on the road Saturday, who broke a three-game losing streak with a victory their last time out and are 12th in the NHL in goals per game (3.35).

The Detroit Red Wings have placed Austin Czarnik on waivers.
Dakota Mermis has cleared waivers and been assigned to Iowa (AHL).

Thatcher Demko was the first goalie off the ice at the Canucks' morning skate.
Demko backed up Casey Desmith in the Canucks previous game but will take over the starting job for the eighth time in the last 10 contests as he is expected to start Saturday vs. Seattle. The 27-year-old is off to an incredible bounce-back year so far in 2023-24, with his 8-3-0 record, .932 SV%, 2.04 GAA, and two shutouts. He will face Seattle, who snapped a three-game losing streak with a victory last game but are struggling to score as they are 29th in the NHL in goals per game (2.56).
Andrei Kuzmenko (face) was at the morning skate Saturday and is expected to play vs. Seattle.
Taylor Hall (lower body) will return to the Blackhawks' lineup Saturday vs. Nashville.
