The 26-year-old is in his second NHL season and first with Boston and has eight assists, 30 SOG, 29 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus in 36 games played this season.

Shattenkirk was a healthy scratch for the Bruins' previous three games but will return to the lineup on Saturday as he replaces Parker Wotherspoon. The 35-year-old veteran defenseman has passed the 20+ point plateau for the sixth time in the last seven years with his five goals and 22 points in 56 games this season.
