Joseph Woll will start Tuesday vs. Washington.

Woll is quickly making his case to be the more reliable option in net for the Maple Leafs as he will start on Tuesday for the second time in their last four contests. Woll came in to relieve Ilya Samsonov on Saturday and saved all 29 shots he faced to help the Maple Leafs come from behind and win 4-3 in overtime against the Tampa Bay Lightning. In two games (1-1-0), Woll has an impressive 1.69 GAA and .949 SV%, completely outperforming his counterpart, Samsonov, who has an ugly 4.34 GAA and .831 SV% through four games (2-1-0). Vinni Lettieri
Brett Pesce is day-to-day with a lower-body injury after missing last game.

Pesce did not play on Saturday and his status remains up in the air for Tuesday's contest against the Tampa Bay Lightning. After registering a career-best 30 points (5G / 25A) in 82 games in the 2022-23 season, Pesce has had a nice start to 2023-24 with two points (1G / 1A) in five games. Jalen Chatfield will likely remain in the lineup until Pesce can return.

Brett Pesce
Sebastian Aho (upper body) will be a game-time decision Tuesday vs. Tampa Bay.

The Hurricanes will hope to welcome Aho, who is listed as a game-time decision, back into their lineup on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Aho has missed the last three games after suffering an upper-body injury. He has three points (1G / 2A) and eight shots while averaging 21:00 time-on-ice through three games this season. If Aho is unable to suit up, Teuvo Teravainen will likely remain on the top line as his replacement.

Sebastian Aho
Anthony Stolarz will get his first start of the season Tuesday vs. San Jose.

Stolarz will make his season debut on Tuesday and start his first as a Florida Panther. Stolarz spent last season as the backup goalie for the Anaheim Ducks, where he had 19 appearances (5-6-0) and posted a 3.66 GAA and .899 SV%. The Panthers rank 20th defensively at the moment (3.40 GA/GP), which is a slight improvement over what Stolarz was exposed to as a Duck last season (4.09 GA/GP). The Panthers will face off against the Sharks, who rank second-worst in the league offensively, averaging a miniscule 1.40 goals per game through five contests (0-4-1).

Anthony Stolarz
Andrei Svechnikov (knee) will remain out Tuesday vs. Tampa Bay.

Svechnikov will not play on Tuesday and it is still unclear when he will return, but it appears imminent after being a full participant in practice on Monday. Svechnikov has missed six games already for the Hurricanes and will look to have an immediate impact in their top six when he returns to the lineup. He had 55 points (23G/ 32A) in 64 games last season.

Andrei Svechnikov
Taylor Hall (shoulder) reaggravated his injury Saturday and is day-to-day after not skating Monday.

Hall suffered a shoulder injury in game two of the season and was initially given a week-to-week prognosis. To everyone's surprise, Hall missed only one game and returned to the lineup. Three games later, Hall seems to have reaggravated his shoulder injury and is once again going to be sidelined because of it. Hall has played primarily with Connor Bedard this season and has two points (0G / 2A) and seven shots in five games.

Taylor Hall
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is expected to make his first start of the season Tuesday vs. Ottawa.

With the Sabres' on the second half of a back-to-back, Devon Levi (lower-body) injured, and Eric Comrie starting yesterday, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is expected to make his season debut Tuesday vs. Ottawa. He takes on the Ottawa Senators, who snapped a three-game losing streak with a loss last game but are third in the NHL in goals per game (4.2).

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen
Jake Allen will start Monday vs. Buffalo.

Allen will get his third start of the season on Monday against the Buffalo Sabres. After a poor showing in his first outing, allowing five goals on 42 shots in a 6-5 shootout loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs, Allen bounced back with a solid 31-save performance to help defeat the Washington Capital by a score of 3-2. The Canadiens are off to a better-than-expected 2-1-1 start but are +156 road underdogs against a Sabres team that is averaging a lowly 2.40 goals per game this season (2-3-0).

Jake Allen
Eric Comrie will start Monday vs. Buffalo.

With Devon Levi still sidelined (lower-body) for at least the next two games, Comrie will get his second consecutive start for the Sabres. On Saturday, Comrie was stellar, allowing only one goal on 25 shots en route to a 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders. Despite being -178 home favourites, Comrie and the Sabres will have their work cut out for them against a Montreal Canadiens team that is off to a surprising 2-1-1 start. The Canadiens are averaging 3.25 goals per game.

Eric Comrie
Devon Levi (lower body) will be out for at least Buffalo's next two games Monday and Tuesday.

Levi will remain out of the lineup for at least the next two games while he recovers from a lower-body injury. Eric Comrie, who was excellent filling in for Levi on Saturday by making 24 of 25 saves in a 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders, will tend the crease for the Sabres on Monday. Levi has a 3.26 GAA and .890 SV% in four games (1-3-0) and isn't expected to miss a significant amount of time.

Devon Levi
Andrei Svechnikov (knee) was a full participant in Monday's morning skate.

Svechnikov will not play on Tuesday and it is still unclear when he will make his return but it appears to be imminent after being unable to suit up for the Hurricanes' first six games. Andrei Svechnikov
Zub (upper-body) will miss a second-straight contest Tuesday vs. Buffalo.

Zub will miss his second consecutive game as he recovers from an upper-body injury. Zub was off to a hot start this season, recording three points (1G / 2A), nine blocks, and eight shots in four games. Jacob Bernard-Docker was recalled by the Senators and should continue filling in for Zub on defence.

Artem Zub
Nico Hischier (upper body) was a full participant in Monday morrnings skate.

Hischier left the Devils' game early on Friday after suffering an upper-body injury but was back at practice as a full participant on Monday morning. This is a good indication that Hischier won't miss any more time and will slide back into his usual spot on the second line. He has zero points, seven shots, and four hits in four games this season.

Nico Hischier
Cal Foote has been recalled from Utica (AHL).

Foote has yet to make his debut with the Devils but could find his way into the lineup after being recalled from the Utica Comets of the AHL on Monday. In three games with the Comets, Foote scored two points (1G / 2A) and had a -3 plus/minus rating. He had seven points (2G / 5A) in 50 NHL games last season between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Nashville Predators.

Cal Foote

Nosek hasn't played since suffering a lower-body injury on October 13th. In two games, Nosek was pointless while recording one shot on goal, one hit, and one block. His exact return to the lineup is uncertain, but he is not expected to play on Tuesday.

Tomas Nosek
Eric Comrie was in the starters' crease at Monday's morning skate.

With Devon Levi still presumably sidelined (lower-body), Comrie is likely to get his second consecutive start for the Sabres.

Eric Comrie

Bernard-Docker was recalled by Ottawa after a brief two-game stint with Belleville (AHL) where he had zero points and a +1 plus/minus rating. The 26th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft has two points (0G / 2A) in 33 career NHL games across the last four seasons. He is projected to play alongside Thomas Chabot on the Senators' third defensive pairing.

Jacob Bernard-Docker
