Simon Edvinsson had surgery on his left shoulder and is expected to be out for 4 to 6 months.

Edvinsson had two goals, 40 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -7 plus/minus across nine games in his first showing with the Detroit Red Wings this season but will now be forced to miss 4-6 months as he recovers from left shoulder surgery. The 20-year-old was Detroit's 2021 first-round pick (6th overall) and will hope to have an update as we return for the 2023-24 season.

Jared McCann (undisclosed) did not travel with Seattle to Dallas for their opening two games and is considered out.

McCann last played in Game 4 of the Kraken's first series where he was forced to leave due to an undisclosed injury after taking a hit from Cale Makar, and will now be out for at least the first two games of round two as he is not travelling with the team. It is a massive loss for Seattle, as McCann led the team in regular season scoring with 40 goals, 70 points, and a +18 plus/minus through 79 games.

Philipp Grubauer was the first goalie off the ice at the Kraken's morning skate.

Grubauer was sensational in Game 7 of the Kraken's first series, stopping 33 of 34 shots (.971 SV%) to knock off the defending Stanley Cup Champions in the Colorado Avalanche with a 2-1 victory. The 31-year-old was a godsend in the Kraken's opening series, going 4-3-0 with a 2.44 GAA and .926 SV%. He takes on the Dallas Stars in round two on the road Tuesday, who is fresh off a 4-2 series victory over the Minnesota Wild and finished the regular season seventh in the NHL in goals per game (3.43).

Erik Gustafsson will be a healthy scratch for Game 1 vs. Florida.

Gustafsson made his playoff debut in Game 7 vs. Tampa Bay as the Maple Leafs dressed seven defensemen but will head back to the press box for Game 1 in the second round vs. Florida on Tuesday. The 31-year-old had seven goals, 35 assists, 122 SOG, 23 PIMs and a +9 plus/minus through 70 games between Toronto and Washington during the regular season.

Zach Aston-Reese will draw back into the Maple Leafs' lineup for Game 1 vs. Florida.

Reese was the odd man out of the Maple Leafs' lineup for the last two games of round one as the team elected to go with seven defensemen but will draw back into Toronto's lineup for Game 1 vs. Florida on Tuesday. The 28-year-old has a goal, three SOG, and a -2 plus/minus through five games so far in the 2022-23 playoffs.

Colin Miller is expected to draw back into the Stars' lineup for Game 1 vs. Seattle.

Miller has been a healthy scratch since Game 4 of the Stars' round one victory over Minnesota but will draw back into the lineup for Game 1 vs. Seattle as he replaces Thomas Harley. The 30-year-old defenseman has zero points across three games in the playoffs but is a -3 plus/minus with four SOG.

Joel Hanley will be a healthy scratch for Game 1 vs. Seattle.

Hanley played in three games in the Stars' opening series against Minnesota but will be a healthy scratch Tuesday for Game 1 vs. Seattle as he is replaced by Colin Miller. The 31-year-old has yet to pick up a point in the playoffs but is a +2 plus/minus through his three-game showing.

Fasching had 10 goals, nine assists, 61 SOG, 10 PIMs and a +10 plus/minus through 49 games in his first season with the New York Islanders and has signed a two-year, one-way contract extension with an AAV of $775,000. The 27-year-old played in all six games for the Islanders in the playoffs this postseason, failing to pick up a point.

Akira Schmid will start Game 7 vs. the New York Rangers.

Schmid allowed five goals on 29 shots (.828 SV%) for his first loss of the series in Game 6 as the New York Rangers forced Game 7 with a 5-2 defeat last game. The 22-year-old has been a revelation for the Devils' in the playoffs, taking over the starters' crease mid-series and going 3-1-0 with a .937 SV% and 1.72 GAA. He will be trying to close the series out in a crucial Game 7 on Monday, as he faces the New York Rangers, who finished the regular season 12th in the NHL in goals per game (3.33).

Ryan Lomberg is considered week-to-week (upper-body).

Lomberg did not pick up a point through four games in the Panthers' opening series but was a factor with 18 PIMs and five SOG but missed Game 5 on due to an upper-body injury and will not be out week-to-week as the Panthers head into round two. The 28-year-old is coming off career highs in both goals (12) and points (20) across 82 regular season games.
