Atkinson has not played since March 13th but has been recalled from the Syracuse Crunch (AHL). The 35-year-old has been limited to only four games in the last six weeks despite scoring three points (1G / 2A) in those contests. In a corresponding move, Brandon Halverson was re-assigned to Syracuse.

Knight will start vs. New Jersey on Wednesday.

The Blackhawks have turned to Knight between the pipes in three of their last four games (1-3-0), and he will return to the crease on Wednesday against the New Jersey Devils. Knights struggled in his most recent outing, allowing four goals on 29 shots (.862 SV%), but received ample goal support in a 7-4 win over the Philadelphia Flyers. The 23-year-old Knight has a 3.01 GAA and .903 SV% in seven games with the Blackhawks (3-4-0). The Blackhawks enter Wednesday's contest as +193 home underdogs against a Devils squad coming off a 4-3 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.
