Shesterkin will start Tuesday vs. the Hurricanes.

Shesterkin stopped all 33 of 33 shots for his fifth-straight victory and second shutout of the season as he blanked the Pittsburgh Penguins in his previous start. The 27-year-old will not be a repeat winner of the Vezina Trophy but still has been solid nonetheless this season, with his 32-11-7 record, 2.57 GAA and .912 SV%. He takes on the Carolina Hurricanes, who have won six of their last nine games and are third in the NHL in shots per game (34.9).

Darcy Kuemper practised Tuesday but will remain out of the Capitals' lineup (upper-body).

Kuemper missed the Capitals' previous game due to an upper-body injury and will remain out Tuesday after practising with the team. The 32-year-old has been one of few bright spots in Washington this season, with his 20-22-5 record, 2.77 GAA and .911 SV%.

Woll was 2-1-0 with a 2.04 GAA and .938 SV% with the Maple Leafs but has been loaned back to the Marlies (AHL) on Tuesday. The 24-year-old returns to the minors, where he had a 16-2-0 record, .928 SV% and 2.37 GAA prior to his latest call up.

Alexander Steves has been loaned to the Toronto Marlies (AHL).

Steeves failed to pick up a point, had three SOG, and a -2 plus/minus through three games with the Maple Leafs and has been loaned back to the Toronto Marlies (AHL) Tuesday. The 23-year-old returns to the AHL, where he had 17 goals, 45 points and 26 PIMs through 55 games prior to his promotion.

Montembeault will start Tuesday vs. the Lightning.

Montembeault allowed four goals on 40 shots (.900 SV%) for his second-straight loss as he was beaten by the Tampa Bay Lightning his last time between the pipes. The 26-year-old has been the better of the two Canadien goaltenders, with his 13-14-3 record, 3.36 GAA and .904 SV%. He will face Tampa Bay yet again, who snapped a three-game winning steak with a 5-2 loss to New Jersey last game.

Trevor van Riemsdyk (personal) is a game-time decision to play Tuesday as he awaits the birth of his first child.

van Riemsdyk and his wife are expecting their first child meaning the 31-year-old will be doubtful to play Tuesday as the team takes on Columbus. If forced to miss the game, it will be his first missed of the 2022-23 season, which has been a breakout of sorts for the defenseman, who has a career-high seven goals, 23 points, and a +11 plus/minus through 71 games so far this season.

Vanecek is in the starter's crease a the Devils morning skate.

Vanecek saved 22 of 24 shots (.917 SV%) for his fifth win in seven starts as he beat Tampa Bay his last time between the pipes. The 27-year-old has been enjoying a great first season in New Jersey, as proven by his 29-8-3 record, 2.51 GAA and .909 SV%. He will take on the Minnesota Wild, who have won eight of their last 11 games and are 24th in the NHL in goals per game (2.9).

Egor Zamula will return to the Flyers' lineup Tuesday.

Zamula's last NHL action was on December 1st, but he will return to the Flyers' lineup Tuesday as they go with a seven-defenseman system vs. Florida. The 22-year-old has two assists, six SOG, and a -1 plus/minus through 11 games played previously with the Flyers.

Rodrigues left Colorado's game vs. Chicago Monday after just 11:59 TOI due to an upper-body injury and is now being evaluated for that injury without a timetable for his return. The 29-year-old has consistently battled injuries this season but has 14 goals, 19 assists, 168 SOG, 28 PIMs, +2 plus/minus through 58 games played.

Hart will start Tuesday vs. the Panthers.

Hart stopped 36 of 38 shots (.947 SV%) to snap a two-game losing streak as he beat the Buffalo Sabres in his last start. The 24-year-old has been arguably the Flyers' best player this season, with his 18-21-10 record, 2.94 GAA and .907 SV%. He takes on the Florida Panthers, who have won three-straight and six of their last seven after a 5-2 victory over Detroit last night.

Sorokin stopped 29 of 30 shots (.967 SV%) for his fifth win in six years as he easily handled the struggling San Jose Sharks in his last start. The 27-year-old is top-five in the NHL in SV% (.925 SV%) and has an impressive 2.37 GAA despite his 25-19-6 record. He will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are in the midst of a two-game winning streak and are ninth in the NHL in goals per game (3.42).

Luff has eight goals, 25 points, six PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 28 games with Grand Rapids (AHL) and has been recalled to Detroit under emergency conditions Tuesday. The 25-year-old has a goal, and a -1 plus/minus through seven games so far this season with the Red Wings.

Poirier was 5-3-2 with a .913 SV% and a 2.48 GAA with the Texas Stars (AHL) and has been recalled to Dallas for the first time in his career. The 21-year-old is on an impressive rise this season, as he has played the majority of his games in the ECHL in 2022-23 and was a 2020 sixth-round pick (185 overall).

Brossoit (lower-body) travelled on the Golden Knights' three-game road trip.

Brossoit has been sidelined by a lower-body injury since February 25th but travelled to Vancouver for Tuesday's game. Logan Thompson also travelled, and Jiri Patera was sent back to the AHL, suggesting that Brossoit or Thompson are ready to share the crease with Jonathan Quick as soon as Tuesday.
