Hill is expected to start Wednesday vs. the Hurricanes.

Hill stopped 31 of 33 shots (.939 SV%) but snapped a three-game winning streak as he was defeated by Colorado in his previous start. The 26-year-old Vegas backup has been incredibly solid in his first season as a Golden Knight, with his 14-6-1 record, 2.52 GAA and .912 SV%. He will take on the Carolina Hurricanes, who just snapped a five-game winning streak with a 3-2 loss to Anaheim last game.

Gibson will start Wednesday vs. the Capitals.

Gibson stopped 51 of 53 shots (.962 SV%) for his second-straight 40+ save victory as he beat Carolina in his previous start. The 29-year-old has improved his numbers as of late, but still has an ugly 12-23-6 record, 3.96 GAA and .902 SV%. He will take on the Washington Capitals, who have lost seven of their last eight games after a 7-4 loss to Buffalo last game.

John Gibson
Annunen will start Wednesday vs. the Devils.

Annunen was fantastic in his only start of the season, stopping 19 of 20 shots (.950 SV%) in a win over St. Louis his last time out for the Avalanche. The 22-year-old is making his third career start across two seasons, and has a perfect 2-0-0 record, .887 SV% and 1.01 GAA. He will take on the New Jersey Devils, who have won four of their last five games after a 7-0 win over Philadelphia last game.

Scott Harrington will make his Ducks' debut Wednesday vs. Washington.

Harrington was traded from San Jose as part of the Timo Meier blockbuster move and waived and claimed Tuesday and is expected to make his Ducks' debut Wednesday. The 29-year-old defenseman has a goal, six assists, 22 SOG and a -7 plus/minus through 28 games with the San Jose Sharks this season.

Lars Eller will be a game-time decision Wednesday after being traded from Washington earlier in the day.

Eller has seven goals, nine assists, 101 SOG, 36 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 60 games played with the Washington Capitals and has been traded to the Avalanche for a 2025 second-round pick Wednesday and has a chance to draw into Colorado's lineup.

Eller has seven goals, nine assists, 101 SOG, 36 PIMs and a -1 plus/minus through 60 games played with the Washington Capitals and has been traded to the Avalanche for a 2025 second-round pick. This will be the 33-year-olds fourth NHL team across 14 NHL seasons.

Cale Makar will miss his fifth-straight game Wednesday vs. New Jersey (concussion protocol).

Makar has missed the Avalanche's previous four games due to a concussion and remains out of the lineup Monday vs. Vegas. The 24-year-old superstar has 13 goals, 32 assists, 142 SOG, 26 PIMs and a +6 plus/minus through 46 games this season.

Rasmus Dahlin is still considered day-to-day and will not play Thursday in Boston (undisclosed).

Dahlin missed the Sabres' previous two games due to an undisclosed injury and will miss Thursday as well as he is still considered out day-to-day. The 22-year-old has been enjoying a true breakout campaign, with 14 goals, 48 assists, 161 SOG, 72 PIMs and a +23 plus/minus through 56 games played prior to his injury.

Samsonov stopped 26 of 27 shots (.963 SV%) for his third-straight victory as he beat Seattle in his last start. The 26-year-old has been all the Maple Leafs' could have hoped for in his first season with the team, as shown by his 22-7-2 record, 2.30 GAA and .918 SV%. He takes on the Edmonton Oilers, who have lost two straight games but are first in the NHL in goals per game (3.8).

Annunen was fantastic in his only start of the season, stopping 19 of 20 shots (.950 SV%) in a win over St. Louis his last time out for the Avalanche. The 22-year-old is making his third career start across two seasons, and has a perfect 2-0-0 record, .887 SV% and 1.01 GAA. He will take on the New Jersey Devils, who have won four of their last five games after a 7-0 win over Philadelphia last game.

Wedgewood (undisclosed) suffered a setback and is day-to-day; will not be available for Wednesday's game.

Wedgewood is 7-8-3 with a 2.92 GAA and .913 SV% but will not be available Wednesday vs. Arizona. Matthew Murray has been recalled from Texas (AHL) as his replacement but it does not seem Wedgewood will be out long.

Oettinger allowed five goals on 21 shots (.762 SV%) for his fourth loss in five games as he was defeated by Vancouver in his previous start. The 24-year-old has been exceptional this season, with his 24-8-10 record, 2.30 GAA and .923 SV%. He will face the Arizona Coyotes, who beat Chicago 4-1 in their last game but are last in the NHL in shots per game (25.8).

Shesterkin will start Wednesday in Philadelphia.

Shesterkin stopped 26 of 28 shots (.929 SV%) to snap a two-game losing streak with a victory over the Los Angeles Kings. The 27-year-old has struggled mightily as of late, which has caused his underlying numbers to slip to a .910 SV% and 2.65 GAA on the season while still maintaining his solid record of 26-10-7. He will take on the Philadelphia Flyers, who have lost seven of their last eight games after an ugly 7-0 defeat to New Jersey last game.
