Cogliano suffered an upper-body injury in Game 1 and will miss Game 2 vs. the Predators. Cogliano, who is listed as day-to-day, is expected to be replaced by Logan O'Connor but that was not confirmed by the Avalanche.

Leason split his 2021-22 season between the NHL and AHL. With the Capitals, he had six points (3G / 3A) in 36 games and had 13 points (6G / 7A) in 31 AHL games. He'll replace Tom Wilson, who is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Wilson left Game 1 after suffering a lower-body injury in the first period. He's considered day-to-day and the Capitals would not commit to his status beyond tonight's game. Brett Leason will make his Stanley Cup Playoff debut in Wilson's spot.

Zucker missed the final game of the regular season and Game 1 of the playoffs with a lower-body injury. In Game 2, he'll replace Rickard Rakell (upper-body) if he's healthy enough to play.

DeSmith left Game 1 after suffering a lower-body injury in overtime. Louis Domingue, who was perfect in relief in the 3OT win, will start Game 2 and Alex D'Orio was recalled from the AHL to serve as his backup.

Rakell suffered an upper-body injury in Game 1 and will miss Game 2 in New York. It's unclear who will replace him in the lineup but Jason Zucker (lower-body) is a game-time decision, so it could be him if he's deemed good-to-go.

Lomberg played just 7:39 TOI in Game 1, registering five hits. He will be replaced by Noel Acciari on the Panthers' fourth line.

Acciari did not play in Game 1 vs. the Capitals but is expected to replace Ryan Lomberg in the lineup for Game 2. Acciari had three goals and five assists (eight points) in 18 games this season.

Lindholm left Game 2 with an upper-body injury after being levelled by Andrei Svechnikov. Head coach Bruce Cassidy said that Lindholm travelled with the team back to Boston but will not be available for Game 3. Either Mike Reilly or Josh Brown will draw into the lineup to replace Lindholm.

Wilson played just 1:31 TOI in Game 1 before departing with a lower-body injury. The Capitals did not provide much of an update on his status but called him a game-time decision for Game 2, which suggests his injury isn't overly serious. Connor McMichael or Axel Jonsson-Fjallby will likely draw to replace Wilson if he can't play.
