Samuel Montembeault will start vs. the Canucks

Montembeault stopped 33 of 36 shots (.917 SV%) in a 4-3 overtime loss to Winnipeg the last time he took the crease. He has had a very solid start to the season, posting a 2.47 GAA and .928 SV% along with his 2-1-1 record. He faces off against Vancouver, who despite their struggles rank fourth in the NHL in goals with 3.62 per game.

Filip Hallander will make his season debut Wednesday vs. Washington

Filip Hallander
Klim Kostin has been recalled from Bakersfield (AHL).

With the unfortunate news that Evander Kane will be on the LTIR, Klim Kostin earned his first promotion to the Edmonton OIlers Wednesday. In nine games with Bakersfield, the 2017 1st round pick (31st overall) has two goals and four points to go along with 15 PIMs.

Klim Kostin
Evander Kane has been placed on long-term injured reserve and will miss 3 to 4 months.

Kane will miss 3 to 4 months after cutting his wrist on a skate in the Oilers' win over Tampa Bay Tuesday. The 31-year-old had been enjoying a strong start to the season with five goals and 13 points through his first 14 games played along with a +4 plus/minus.

Evander Kane
Jordan Greenway will not play as part of the Wilds' back-to-back (rest).

Greenway returned from a trip to the injured reserve Tuesday, playing 14:38 and collecting a -1 rating as he eased his way back into the Wild lineup vs. Los Angeles. He is using Wednesday's day off for rest as the Wild do not want to push him with their back-to-back games.

Jordan Greenway
Gustavsson will start Wednesday in Anaheim.

Gustavsson stopped 23 of 25 shots (.920 SV%) taking the unfortunate 2-1 loss to Detroit his last time out on October 29th. The Wilds' backup has struggled in limited action this season, collecting a 0-3-0 record alongside his 3.92 GAA and .878 SV%. He draws the start against Anaheim who ranks in the bottom 10 in the NHL in both Goals (2.85) and SOG (29.2) per game.

Filip Gustavsson
Charlie McAvoy is expected to make his season debut vs. the Flames Thursday (Shoulder).

McAvoy has not played this season as he recovered from eft shoulder arthroscopic stabilization surgery on June 3. McAvoy returns to the Bruins' lineup ahead of schedule and will likely slot right back in atop their top defensive pair and power-play unit. He finished 2021-22 with a career-high 10 goals and 56 points across 78 games while finishing with 21 PPP.

Charlie McAvoy
Nikita Alexandrov has been recalled from Springfield (AHL).

Nikita Alexandrov
Josh Leivo has been recalled from Springfield (AHL).

Leivo has already enjoyed a small cup of tea with the Blues' prior to him being recalled Wednesday, as he failed to pick up a point through three games. After heading to Springfield (AHL) he was nothing short of dominant, scoring three goals and adding an assist while only playing in two games.

Josh Leivo
