He will take on the Colorado Avalanche, who won their last game 5-3 vs. Florida and are seventh in the NHL in shots (33.3).

Dell stopped all eight of eight shots in a perfect relief appearance his last time out as he took on the Washington Capitals. The 33-year-old has been up and down all season from the AHL, leading to a 0-2-0 record, .908 SV% and 3.00 GAA. He takes on the Pittsburgh Penguins, who lost their previous game 6-0 to Los Angeles but is eighth in the NHL in shots per game (33.3).


Binnington allowed five goals on 28 shots (.821 SV%) but snapped a four-game losing streak as he defeated Arizona is his previous start. The 29-year-old has had a horrendous season, leading to his .890 SV%, 3.31 GAA and 19-18-3 record. Matthews has missed the Maple Leafs' previous five games due to a knee injury but could return to the lineup Wednesday as the team takes on the Chicago Blackhawks at home. The 2022 Rocket Richard Trophy winner had 25 goals, 53 points, 200 SOG, 16 PIMs and a +19 plus/minus through 47 games played prior to the injury.

Johnson suffered a lower-body injury while blocking a shot on Saturday and will not be available for Tuesday's game vs. Tampa and has been placed on the injured reserve. Head coach Jared Bednar said they do not have a timeline for Johnson's return. The 34-year-old has seven assists across 51 games played this season.

The 27-year-old has more than paid off his offseason signing, with his 22-5-3 record, 2.32 GAA and .916 SV%. He draws the Columbus Blue Jackets, who snapped a four-game losing skid with a 4-3 victory over Toronto last game and rank 30th in the NHL in goals per game (2.53).

Stauber stopped 23 of 26 shots (.885 SV%) for his third-straight win as he beat the Arizona Coyotes in his previous start. The 23-year-old has been electric through his first three starts, with a perfect 3-0-0 record, a 2.29 GAA and .925 SV%. He takes on the Montreal Canadiens, who have won their last two games but are 29th in goals per game (2.64) and 30th in shots per game (27.9).

Hunt had three goals, three assists, 29 SOG, eight PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 27 games was sent down and cleared waivers Monday, before being called back up Tuesday. He heads backup and will not be adding to his success in the minors, where he had a very strong start the year, with six goals and 20 points in 22 games.

Meyers has three goals, five assists, and 11 PIMs through 14 games with the Colorado Eagles (AHL) and has been recalled back to the Avalanche Tuesday. Through 28 games so far this season with the Avalanche in his previous stints with the big club, he has one goal, six PIMs and a -5 plus/minus.

The 32-year-old has been solid in his first season with the Capitals, with his 16-14-4 record, .916 SV% and 2.57 GAA. He takes on the surging Carolina Hurricanes, who had just snapped a seven-game winning streak with a 6-2 loss vs the New York Rangers last game.

Cizikas has four goals, nine assists, 64 SOG, and 46 PIMs through 55 games this season but will be a game-time decision Tuesday as he deals with an illness. It will be the second game Cizikas has missed this season if he cannot suit up.
