Oshie returned to Washington to be with his wife for the birth of their fourth child and is not expected to be available for Tuesday's game in Colorado. Luckily for the Capitals, it looks like Alex Ovechkin will be able to return to the lineup to replace Oshie.

He will be facing the Dallas Stars for his 700th NHL game, who have won three of their last four games 4-0.

Pelech hasn't played since Dec. 6th due to a head injury but has been activated off the injured reserve Monday and will play vs. Toronto. The 28-year-old had three goals, eight assists, 35 SOG, 24 PIMs and a +12 plus/minus through 27 games prior to the injury.

Dobson has 10 goals, 17 assists, 137 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 48 games this season but will be a game-time decision Monday as the Islanders take on Toronto. It will be the first game this season that the 23-year-old will be forced to miss.

Fasching left the Islanders' game on January 18th vs. Boston after just 10:12 TOI due to a lower-body and was placed on the injured reserve Monday. The 27-year-old had three goals, two assists, 20 SOG, six PIMs and a +4 plus/minus through 19 games prior to the injury.

Zaitsev has been out since Dec. 27th due to a lower-body injury but was activated off the injured reserve Monday. The 31-year-old has had a rough go so far in 2022-23, with three assists, six SOG and a -6 plus/minus through 19 games this season prior to the injury.
