Makar will be a game-time decision again Tuesday vs. the Capitals. Head coach Jared Bednar said that Makar will take part in the morning skate and warmups as he did on Saturday.

The Canadiens' backup net minder has been solid when called up this season, with his 10-8-2 record, 3.15 GAA and .911 SV%. He will take on the league leading Boston Bruins, who have won nine of their last ten games and are 1st in the NHL in goals per game (3.8).

Oshie returned to Washington to be with his wife for the birth of their fourth child and is not expected to be available for Tuesday's game in Colorado. Luckily for the Capitals, it looks like Alex Ovechkin will be able to return to the lineup to replace Oshie.

Ovechkin missed Saturday's game in Vegas but was on the ice for Monday's practice and "looked good," according to head coach Peter Laviolette. Ovechkin will replace T.J. Oshie (personal) in the lineup if he's able to go against the Avalanche. Ovechkin is in a bit of a slump, scoring just one goal with three assists (four points) in his last seven games.

Fleury allowed five goals on 29 shots (.828 SV%) for his third loss in four starts as he was defeated by Carolina in his previous start. The 38-year-old is having one of the worst season of his 19-year-career, with his 14-9-3 record, 2.94 GAA and .902 SV%. He will face the Tampa Bay Lightning, who have lost their last two games after a 6-3 defeat to Calgary last game but they are fifth in the NHL in goals per game (3.6).

Anderson allowed four goals on 26 shots (.846 SV%) for his third-straight loss as he was defeated in overtime by Chicago last game. The league's oldest active player has been very solid in limited action this seaosn, with his 7-6-2 record, 2.78 GAA and .917 SV%. He will be facing the Dallas Stars for his 700th NHL game, who have won three of their last four games 4-0.

Pelech hasn't played since Dec. 6th due to a head injury but has been activated off the injured reserve Monday and will play vs. Toronto. The 28-year-old had three goals, eight assists, 35 SOG, 24 PIMs and a +12 plus/minus through 27 games prior to the injury.

Palmieri hasn't played since Dec. 16th due to an upper-body injury but was activated off the injured reserve Monday and will be in the lineup vs. Toronto. The 31-year-old has battled injuries all season, which has led to six goals, three assists, 39 SOG, six PIMs and a -2 plus/minus through 21 games played.

Dobson has 10 goals, 17 assists, 137 SOG, 12 PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 48 games this season but will be a game-time decision Monday as the Islanders take on Toronto. It will be the first game this season that the 23-year-old will be forced to miss.

Fasching left the Islanders' game on January 18th vs. Boston after just 10:12 TOI due to a lower-body and was placed on the injured reserve Monday. The 27-year-old had three goals, two assists, 20 SOG, six PIMs and a +4 plus/minus through 19 games prior to the injury.

Zaitsev has been out since Dec. 27th due to a lower-body injury but was activated off the injured reserve Monday. The 31-year-old has had a rough go so far in 2022-23, with three assists, six SOG and a -6 plus/minus through 19 games this season prior to the injury.
