Malgin left the Avalanche's previous game vs. Vancouver after just two shifts and 0:47 TOI due to an upper-body injury and is now considered out week-to-week. The 25-year-old has two goals, three assists, 59 SOG, and a -3 plus/minus through 30 games played split between Colorado and Toronto.

Johansson managed to pick up one game's worth of NHL action before being reassigned to the Colorado Eagles (AHL) Tuesday, stopping all seven of seven shots in a relief performance against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 27-year-old heads back to the Eagles, where he was 9-6-0, with a .929 SV% and 2.15 GAA.

Duehr had ten goals, six assists, 20 PIMs and a +1 plus/minus through 31 games with the Calgary Wranglers (AHL) and will make his 2022-23 Calgary Flames debut Tuesday vs. the Blues. The 25-year-old has previously played in one NHL game in 2021-22 with the Flames.

Francouz is 4-5-0 with a 2.80 GAA and .913 SV% but has missed the Avalanche's last five games as he dealt with a lower-body injury. Francouz will backup Alexandar Georgiev if he does dress Tuesday.

Markstrom was pulled after allowing three goals on 11 shots (.727 SV%) in his previous start vs. the Chicago Blackhawks. The 32-year-old has been having a nightmarish first half of the season, with his 13-10-4 record, 2.80 GAA, and .894 SV%. He takes on St. Louis, who have won three of their last four games after a 3-0 win over Minnesota their last time out.

Vejmelka allowed three goals on 27 shots (.889 SV%) for his fourth-straight loss as he was defeated by Pittsburgh during his previous start. The 26-year-old has struggled as of late, but still has a decent 11-13-44 record, 3.33 GAA and .902 SV%. He will be hoping to get back in the win column, as he takes on the San Jose Sharks, who have been losers in four of their last five games.

Greenway has two goals, four goals, 30 SOG, 14 PIMs and a +4 plus/minus through 22 games but will be a game-time decision Tuesday vs. the New York Rangers. He is dealing with an undisclosed injury.

Oettinger allowed one goal on 28 shots (.964 SV%) for his fifth win in six starts as he beat Florida in his previous start. The 24-year-old has been incredible in his third NHL season, with an 18-6-3 record, 2.34 GAA and .922 SV%. He will take on the New York Islanders, who have lost three of their last four games but are ninth in the NHL in goals allowed per game (2.73).

Georgiev stopped 28 of 30 shots (.933 SV%) to snap a five-game losing streak as he beat Edmonton in his previous start. The 26-year-old has been solid for most of his first season in Colorado, with his 16-10-3 record, 2.67 GAA and .916 SV%. He will take on the Florida Panthers, who lost to Dallas 5-1 their last time out but are 2nd in the NHL in shots per game (35.7).

Samberg has a goal, six assists, 28 SOG, 12 PIMs and a +4 plus/minus through 31 games but will be the odd man out as he is a healthy scratch Tuesday vs. Detroit. Ville Heinola will take his spot in the Jets' lineup.

Heinola has been a healthy scratch since January 3rd but will draw back into the lineup Tuesday as a replacement for Dylan Samberg. The 21-year-old defenseman has one assist, four SOG and two PIMs through eight games so far this season.

Eyssimont will make his San Jose debut Tuesday after getting claimed off waivers from Winnipeg last week. The 26-year-old had a goal, four assists and a +5 plus/minus through 19 games with the Jets prior to being waived and scooped up by the Sharks.

Kahkonen allowed five goals on 29 shots (.828 SV%) as he picked up his third loss in four starts after a defeat to Anaheim last game. The 26-year-old backup netminder has been one of the league's poorest performers between the pipes this season, with his 4-7-4 record, 3.79 GAA and .869 SV%. He will hope for some more positive results as he takes on Arizona, who has lost five-straight contests and is last in the NHL in shots per game (25.0).

Boqvist has been a health scratch for the Blue Jackets' last two games but will draw back into the lineup as he replaces Vladislav Gavrikov (upper body). The 22-year-old has two assists, seven SOG and a -3 plus/minus through nine games so far in 2022-23.

Gavrikov has two goals, seven assists, 46 SOG, 24 PIMs and a -5 plus/minus through 39 games this season but will be forced to miss his first contest Tuesday with an upper-body injury. Adam Boqvist draws back into the lineup as a replacement for Gavrikov.

Merlikins allowed one goal on only 19 shots (.947 SV%) but took the hard-luck loss for his third straight defeat as he was downed by Washington in his last start. The 28-year-old currently has the league's worst SV%, with his .865 SV%, and glaringly ugly 4.52 GAA to go along with his 4-10-0 record. He will be hoping for some more positive luck as he takes on Tampa Bay, who has lost their last two games but still rank sixth in the NHL in goals for per game (3.47).

DeSmith stopped 23 of 24 shots (.958 SV%) to snap a four-game losing skid as he beat Arizona his last time out. The 31-year-old has been forced into the starter's role due to an injury to Tristian Jarry, and has struggled so far with his 5-8-2 record, 3.00 GAA and .909 SV%. He will face Vancouver, who has lost four of their last five games but are ninth in the NHL in goals per game (3.38).
