The Ducks' backup has struggled in limited action this season as shown by his 2-3-0 record, 3.75 GAA and 890 SV%. He takes on the Dallas Stars who are first in the Central Divison and won their last game 4-1 over St. Louis.

Raanta stopped 18 of 20 shots (.900 SV%) to snap a three-game losing streak as he beat the Calgary Flames his last time out. The Hurricanes' backup goalie has put up average numbers this season with his 4-2-2 record, 2.47 GAA and .901 SV%. He faces off against the St. Louis Blues who have lost three of their last four contests.

Tarasov will head back to the Cleveland Monsters (AHL) after Elvis Merzlikins was activated from the injured reserve (hip) Thursday. Tarasov did a fine job while called up to Columbus, posting a 2-3-1 record with a .912 SV% and 3.17 GAA.

The 32-year-old is slowly losing his firm grip on the starting position due to his .889 SV%, 3.03 GAA and 8-5-2 record. He faces off against the Montreal Canadiens who are bottom ten in the NHL in both goals per game (2.82 - 24th) and shots on goal (30.3 - 22nd) per game.

Mitchell has been recalled by the Blackhawks for the second time this season after having a very productive start to the season in Rockford (AHL) where the defenseman had two goals, four assists and a +6 plus/minus through five games. He was pointless with a -4 plus/minus in his two games with Chicago earlier this season when called up the first time.

He draws the challenging task of the Vegas Golden Knights who are ninth in the NHL in both goals for (3.42) per game and shots (33.1) per game.

Oettinger allowed five goals on 28 shots (.821 SV%) in a loss to Winnipeg in his previous start. The 23-year-old has been solid this season, posting an 8-2-3 record with a 2.52 GAA and .917 SV%. He takes on the struggling Anaheim Ducks who have lost seven of their last eight contents and rank 31st in the NHL in goals per game (2.48).

Sustr should serve as the extra defenseman with Jonas Brodin being announced injured Thursday. The 32-year-old had five assists and a +6 plus/minus through 15 games with Iowa (AHL) this season. If he does crack the lineup for the Wild he will build off his 69 points (11G/58A) and 333 SOG through 361 career NHL games played.
