Philipp Grubauer's nightmarish season continued Tuesday as the Seattle Kraken placed him on injured reserve with a lower-body injury. There is no timetable for the 30-year-old netminder's return. He was struggling prior to the injury, losing both his starts while posting a .860 SV% and 3.77 GAA. Joey Daccord was recalled from the AHL in a corresponding move.

Danforth suffered the upper-body injury in Columbus' 6-3 loss over Pittsburgh Saturday. He was not in the lineup for their 5-1 victory against the New York Rangers on Sunday. He is expected to miss approximately six months as he recovers from surgery for a torn labrum. It is very unfortunate news as the 29-year-old was enjoying a nice start to the season as he had two goals and three points off 10 shots in six games played for the Blue Jackets.

The Blues announced that they've signed Pitlick to a one-year deal and placed Pavel Buchnevich (undisclosed) on IR to make room for him. Pitlick had one goal and four assists (five points) in 39 games with the Flames and Canadiens last season.

Buchnevich has not played since the Blues season opener on October 15th where he had a strong first game, collecting a goal and an assist to go along with a +3 plus/minus rating. The Blues confirmed Tuesday he was placed on the injured reserve due to a lower-body injury. The Blues will hope to have their star winger back sooner rather than later as he has 78 points (31G/47A) in 74 career games with St.Louis.

van Riemsdyk suffered a hand injury in the first period of Sunday's loss to the Sharks, and it will require surgery. The Flyers did not release a timetable for van Riemsdyk's return. Expect Owen Tippett (upper-body) to replace him in the lineup on Thursday.
