Geekie was a third-round pick (No.67 overall) in 2017 and leads all active Checkers with 22 goals and is third with 42 points in 55 AHL games this season. Geekie is expected to replace Ryan Dzingel (upper-body) and skate on the fourth line with Nino Niederreiter and Jordan Martinook in his NHL debut.

Dzingel left Saturday's game vs. the Islanders with an upper-body injury after playing just 9:39 TOI in the overtime win. With Dzingel unlikely to be available on Sunday afternoon, Morgan Geekie is expected to make his NHL debut.

Gibson left Friday's game in the third period with what Ducks GM Bob Murray called a "spasm in his groin." Murray added that Gibson is "not bad" but that he thinks they will "hold him out as backup" on Sunday. With Gibson backing up tonight, it seems possible that he's ready for their back-to-back on Tuesday (vs. OTT) and Wednesday (vs. STL).

Guhle has performed well with the Ducks this season, scoring four goals with four assists (eight points) in 30 games while playing 17:04 ATOI. His return to the AHL suggests that Josh Manson will return to the Ducks blueline on Sunday.

Manson is nearing a return to the Ducks lineup and with Brendan Guhle being sent to the AHL on Saturday, it seems likely that he'll play Sunday vs. the Wild. Manson has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury and his return could very well see him lead the Ducks battered blueline in ice-time. He has just one goal and seven assists (eight points) in 47 games this season.

Ducks GM Bob Murray said that Lindholm has no timeline for a potential return but the team also didn't say that they were shutting him down. If Lindholm does not return, he'll finish the year with two goals and 20 assists (22 points) in a career-low 55 games.

Korpisalo allowed three goals on 37 shots in the Blue Jackets loss in Calgary on Wednesday. Since coming back from injury, Korpisalo has gone 2-1-1 with a 3.46 GAA and .896 SV%. In his first start against the Oilers, he allowed four goals on 12 shots in a 4-1 loss in late-October.

Shesterkin has missed the last six games with a rib injury he suffered in a car accident in late-February. Prior to getting hurt, Shesterkin won seven in a row while posting a 2.03 GAA and .945 SV%. The red-hot netminder will face the Devils for the second time this year--he was busy in the first meeting, stopping 46 of 49 shots in a 6-3 win.

Ferraro will come out of the Sharks lineup vs. the Senators, opening the door for Nikolai Knyzhov to make his NHL debut. Ferraro has picked up four points while playing 20:09 ATOI in his last seven games.

Wolanin had four goals and eight assists (12 points) in 30 games with Ottawa last season but missed the first four and a half months of this year with a shoulder injury. He's expected to start on the third-pair with Andreas Englund but could move up as the game goes on.

Anderson allowed three goals on 40 shots in the Senators win over the Islanders on Thursday. The win snapped a three-game winning streak for Anderson, who is 4-10-1 with a 3.77 GAA and .884 SV% on the road this season. Tonight he faces a Sharks team that is 3-1-0 while averaging 3.75 goals per game in their last four.

Kuokkanen was the prospect Devils got back from Carolina in the Sami Vatanen trade. Since joining Binghamton, Kuokkanen has scored three goals with three assists (six points) in four games. Overall, that gives him 15 goals and 33 assists (48 points) in 56 AHL games this year. He has not registered a point in 11 career games.

Koskinen stopped all 10 shots that he faced after replacing Mike Smith in the Oilers loss in Chicago on Thursday. Koskinen has been excellent to start March, winning his first start and stopping 52 of the first 53 shots (.981 SV%) that he's faced. Tonight he'll face a Blue Jackets team that is 2-5-6 while scoring just 2.38 goals per game in their last 13 games.
