Ovechkin missed the final game before the All-Star break but has cleared COVID-19 protocol and is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Blue Jackets. However, he will not be eligible to travel to Montreal for Thursday's game.

Bortuzzo was set to become a UFA at the end of the season but gets $950K AAV on his new two-year contract. Bortuzzo doesn't provide a lot of offence but is a rugged, penalty-killing defenseman for the Blues. Bortuzzo leads the team in Hits/60 (7.91) and is second in Blk/60 (5.04) in 37 games this season.

Armia missed seven games while in COVID-19 protocol but was on the ice for Monday's practice and is expected to play Tuesday vs. the Devils. Armia skated in the bottom-6 in Monday's session and has not scored a goal in 16 games.

Foligno skated on the fourth line in Monday's practice session and may be back in the lineup on Tuesday. Foligno has picked ups just one goal and six assists (seven points) in 26 games this season.

Mike Smith will start Tuesday vs. Vegas but Skinner will likely start Wednesday with Mikko Koskinen landing in COVID-19 protocol. Skinner has gone 8-0-2 with a 1.97 GAA and .928 SV% in 10 AHL games and 5-6-0 with a 2.85 GAA and .908 SV% in 12 NHL games this season.

Koskinen will not be available for the Oilers' next three games, including a back-to-back on Tuesday/Wednesday. The Oilers will get Mike Smith back from injury and Stuart Skinner was recalled from Bakersfield, so look for them to split the back-to-back vs. Vegas and Chicago.


Heinen missed the final two games before the All-Star break with an upper-body injury but was a full participant in Monday's practice and will be a game-time decision on Tuesday. Heinen skated on the third line with Evan Rodrigues and Radim Zohorna in Monday's session.

Dumba missed the final game before the All-Star break and is expected to miss his second straight game on Tuesday. With Dumba out, Jordie Benn will continue to skate on the second pair with Jonas Brodin.

Foligno missed the final two games before the All-Star break but is set to play Tuesday in Winnipeg. Foligno was back in a familiar spot with Joel Eriksson Ek and Jordan Greenway in Monday's practice. Foligno has scored four goals with four assists (eight points) in his last nine games.







Guzda is a 21-year-old undrafted free agent, who has been terrific for the Barrie Colts (OHL) this season. Guzda has gone 11-4-1 with a 2.17 GAA and .925 SV% in 16 games with Barrie.
