Brodie is "doing well" but is out indefinitely.

Brodie collapsed on the ice during Thursday's practice and was rushed to the hospital. After undergoing a variety of tests, all of which came back negative, Brodie was released from the hospital. At this time, the Flames medical staff believe it was a "fainting episode" and nothing more serious. Brodie will continue to be evaluated and will undergo more tests, so there is no timetable for his return at this point.

T.J. Brodie
Nilsson will start Friday vs. the Flyers.

Nilsson was pulled after allowing four goals on 19 shots in Ottawa’s blowout loss in Carolina on Monday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Nilsson, who has a 2.98 GAA and .921 SV% in nine starts this season. Tonight he faces a Flyers team that has won three in a row on the road and are averaging 3.00 goals per game (t-15th) on the season.

Anders Nilsson
Brown (upper-body) will return to the Senators lineup on Friday.

Brown missed six games with an upper-body injury but will play Friday vs. the Flyers. Brown had two assists in four games before he got hurt and will get a huge opportunity on Friday. The hulking centre will skate on the top-line with Brady Tkachuk and Anthony Duclair, who have combined for nine goals and seven assists (16 points) in their last 10 games.

Logan Brown
Boqvist will be back in the Devils lineup on Friday.

Boqvist has bounced in-and-out of the New Jersey lineup early-on, appearing in just six games total. The 2017 No.36 overall pick put up strong numbers in Sweden last season but is still searching for his first career NHL point. On Friday, he will skate with Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt.

Jesper Boqvist
Samsonov will start Friday vs. the Canadiens.

Samsonov allowed three goals on 35 shots in the Capitals loss to the Coyotes on Monday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Capitals’ backup, who will start the front-end of their back-to-back on Friday. He has gone 2-1-1 with a 2.58 GAA and .913 SV% on home-ice this season and Montreal is 4-2-3 while averaging 3.67 goals per game on the road.

Ilya Samsonov
The Devils have placed Sami Vatanen (upper-body) on IR.

Vatanen was already expected to miss Friday's game vs. the Penguins but his move to IR means he has to miss Saturday's game in Montreal as well. Colton White was called up from Binghamton (AHL) to take Vatanen's spot on the roster.

Sami Vatanen
The Devils have recalled Colton White from Binghamton (AHL).

White was a fourth-round pick in 2015 and appeared in three NHL games with the Devils last season. The 22-year-old defenseman, who has three assists in 15 AHL games this season, could make his season debut on Friday night. Sami Vatanen (upper-body) was moved to IR to make room for White.

Colton White
Murray (lower-body) will not play on Friday.

One game after returning to the lineup, Murray will come back out on Friday. The oft-injured defenseman is nicked up after blocking a shot in Montreal and Tuesday and will be replaced by Scott Harrington vs. the Blues. It doesn't sound like a long-term injury this time around, so look for him to be back in the lineup next week.

Ryan Murray
Kerfoot underwent surgery to repair dental fractures and is out indefinitely.

Kerfoot's injury originally occurred on November 5th vs.the Kings but played through it as long as he could. Kerfoot ultimately elected to undergo surgery and will miss some time. Jason Spezza is expected to replace him as the Maple Leafs' third-line centre and will also see the PP2 time while Kerfoot is sidelined.

Alex Kerfoot
The Sabres have recalled Rasmus Asplund from Rochester (AHL).

There's no indication of who Asplund might be coming up for, but the 2016 second-round pick (No.33 overall) has collected eight points (1G / 7A) in 13 AHL games this season. He has not appeared in an NHL game to-date.

Rasmus Asplund
The Bruins recalled Trent Frederic from Providence (AHL).

Frederic will likely make his season debut on Friday night because Zach Senyshyn is out for at least four weeks with a lower-body injury. Frederic, who has five assists in 15 AHL games this season, failed to register a single point in 15 games with Boston in 2018-19.

Trent Frederic
Korpisalo will start Friday vs. the Blues.

Korpisalo allowed four goals on 36 shots in the Blue Jackets loss in Colorado last Saturday. Elvis Merzlikins gave him the night off in Montreal but they will turn back to their “No.1” guy on Friday. He is 3-5-1 with a 2.96 GAA and .889 SV% in his first nine home starts, so there’s not a lot to like about starting him vs. the Blues.

Joonas Korpisalo
Senyshyn is expected to miss four weeks with a lower-body injury.

Senyshyn suffered a lower-body injury vs. the Panthers on Tuesday and is expected to be sidelined for at least one month. Trent Frederic was called up from Providence (AHL) to replace Senyshyn, who had appeared in the Bruins last four games and collected two assists. The 22-year-old will likely return to Providence when he is healthy and look to make a return to Boston later in the season.
