Davidsson was originally a sixth-round pick of the Blue Jackets but was traded to Ottawa as a part of the Matt Duchene trade last February. The 21-year-old winger is in his first year in North America and has registered one goal and two assists in eight games with Belleville. Davidsson will make his NHL debut on Thursday.
White will miss his seventh straight game on Thursday but he was sent to Belleville to practice with the team this week. White is 2.5 weeks into a 3-to-5 week timetable, so it looks like he could return on the front-end of that timetable.
Korpisalo allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Blue Jackets' loss to Vegas on Tuesday. Korpisalo has dropped four straight games while posting an ugly 4.16 GAA and .873 SV% and draws a tough matchup in Arizona on Thursday. The Coyotes are in the middle of the pack in goal-scoring but don't give the Blue Jackets a great chance at winning tonight's game.
Nutivaara played just 5:20 TOI before leaving Tuesday's game vs. the Golden Knights with an upper-body injury. Nutivaara did not travel with the team which means he'll miss at least three games, putting Columbus down two regular defensemen. Scott Harrington is expected to draw-in and replaces Nutivaara on Thursday and Adam Clendening was recalled from AHL to serve as the No.7 defenseman.
Kivlenieks has gone 5-1-2 with a 2.37 GAA and .909 SV% in seven AHL games this season. Kivlenieks has earned his first career call-up but likely won't get any starts with the big club. Joonas Korpisalo figures to get all three starts on their road trip with Kivlenieks replacing Elvis Merzlikins as his back-up until next week.
With Columbus heading out on a three-game road trip that does not have a back-to-back, Merzlikins heads to Cleveland just to get some playing time. The 25-year-old is 0-1-2 with the Blue Jackets so far this season and will get some AHL starts before likely returning to the NHL next week. Matiss Kivlenieks comes up to take his spot as the backup goalie.
Clendening, who has always posted solid numbers in the AHL, has seven points (2G / 5A) in 11 games with Cleveland this season. Clendening was summoned from the AHL to serve as a reserve defenseman for a three-game while Markus Nutivaara sits at home with an upper-body injury.
Texier missed four games with a knee injury that he suffered in Philadelphia on October 26th. A combination of Jakob Lilja and Kole Sherwood helped replace Texier, who will reclaim his spot in the Columbus bottom-6 in Arizona on Thursday night. Texier has two goals on 15 shots (13.3 SH%) and one assist in 11 games this season.
de la Rose was originally a second-round pick of the Canadiens in 2013 but has been with the Red Wings since 2018 after being claimed on waivers in October 2018. de la Rose has just 13 points (4G / 9A) in 76 games with Detroit but is an effective penalty killer and will battle with MacKenzie MacEachern for playing time on the fourth line.
Fabbri was originally selected in the first-round (No.21 overall) back in 2015 but injuries have derailed a once promising career. After posting 18 goals and 37 points in his rookie year, Fabbri has amassed just 36 points (14G / 22A) in 92 games over the last three seasons. He has had a hard time finding playing time with the Blues but that will not be an issue in Detroit. As long as he can stay healthy, Fabrri should be able to breathe new life into his career.
After coming up from the AHL, Lindgren appeared in three straight games but will be scratched in favour of Marc Staal on Wednesday.
Andersson has just one assist in 12 games this season and will come out the lineup vs. Detroit. The Rangers will take the opportunity to get Greg McKegg some playing time tonight, having him replace Andersson in the lineup.
McKegg has been a healthy scratch for the last three games but will replace Lias Andersson on Wednesday. An easy matchup vs. the Red Wings will allow the Rangers to play some players who haven't been playing lately. McKegg has no points in five games this season.
Staal was a healthy scratch for the last three games but will replace Ryan Lindgren in the lineup on Wednesday. Staal, who has a career-high of just 29 points (2010-11), doesn't bring any offence to the table at this point in his career, collecting just one goal in his first nine games of the 2019-20 season.
Leddy will remain sidelined by a lower-body injury on Wednesday, missing his fourth consecutive game. Noah Dobson will remain in the lineup with Leddy sidelined.
Kotkaniemi missed three games with a groin injury but he will accompany the team to Philadelphia, which makes it possible for him to make his return to the lineup. The second-year centre has had a slow start to the year, scoring two goals with one assist in 12 games before getting hurt.
Matheon has missed the last five games but with Corey Stillman heading back to the AHL on Tuesday, it paved the way for Matheson's return vs. The Capitals. He has had a slow offensive start to the season, pointing a single assist in nine games.
Acciari suffered an undisclosed injury vs. the Red Wings on Saturday and is day-to-day. Dominic Toninato will be recalled from Springfield (AHL) to replace Acciari.
