Ladd had a great conditioning stint, picking up one goal and four assists (five points) in two games with the Sound Tigers. Ladd returns to the Islanders, where he had three goals and four assists (seven points) in 14 games.
Clendening has not registered a point in four games with the Blue Jackets this season but leads all defensemen in Cleveland with 28 points (3G / 25A) in 33 games. Clendening could draw onto the Columbus blue line in game-2 of a back-to-back on Tuesday.
Sherwood appeared in the last two games, making his NHL debut Saturday in Chicago. With Brandon Dubinsky returning to the Blue Jackets’ lineup on Tuesday, Sherwood goes back to Cleveland. The 22-year-old has 11 goals and three assists (14 points) in 34 AHL games.
Hannikainen’s move to IR is retroactive to February 14th, so he will miss tonight’s game in Montreal but is eligible to be activated ahead of Friday’s game in Ottawa. His move to IR opens up a roster spot for Brandon Dubinsky to be activated from IR.
Dubinsky has missed the last seven games with a hip issue but is set to play in the tail-end of the Blue Jackets’ back-to-back on Tuesday. Dubinsky has just 11 points (5G / 6A), a minus-11 rating, 34 PIMS and 39 shots in 37 games this season.
Elliott has been sidelined by a lower-body injury since November 15th but has been activated and recalled from his conditioning stint with Lehigh Valley (AHL). Elliott was 1-1-0 with a 3.47 GAA and .877 SV% in during his two games with the Phantoms. Elliott likely won’t see too much playing time moving forward with Carter Hart playing very well and Cam Talbot getting acquired from Edmonton.
Vasilevskiy stopped all 20 shots that he faced in the Lightning’s shutout win over Montreal on Saturday. Vasilevskiy has posted back-to-back shutouts and has a shutout streak of 125:49 heading into Columbus. Vasilevskiy has won four in a row while allowing just seven goals on 106 shots (.934 SV%).
Rask allowed two goals on 25 shots in the Bruins win in Los Angeles on Saturday. Rask has won each of his first five starts in February, posting a 1.98 GAA, .925 SV% and one shutout in the process. Rask has not faced the Sharks yet this season but has gone 8-4-2 with a 2.44 GAA and .922 SV% on the road.
Cehlarik will not play Monday in San Jose because of a lower-body injury that he suffered in Los Angeles. Karson Kuhlman moved up to the Bruins second line with David Backes drawing back in.
Gambrell has not recorded a point in six games with the Sharks this season. He returns to the AHL where he has 11 goals and 17 assists (28 points) in 31 games.
Radil, who has six goals and four assists (10 points) in 30 games this season, will replace Dylan Gambrell on Monday.
Panik was scratched from Saturday’s game vs. Toronto due to an illness and will miss his second straight game on Monday.
Subban allowed one goal on 30 shots in the GoldenKnights win over the Predators on Saturday. Subban has only appeared in nine games this season, six of which on the road—where he has gone 1-5-0 with a 3.36 GAA and .890 SV%. Tonight he faces an Avalanche team that has lost nine of their last 10 games.
Pickard allowed four goals on 46 shots in the Coyotes 5-2 loss in Nashville on February 5th. Pickard has lost both of his starts with Arizona, allowing a combined six goals on 70 shots (.914 SV%). Tonight he faces a Flames team that is dangerous offensively but come in as losers of five of their last seven.
Campbell allowed four goals on 24 shots in the Kings 4-2 loss to the Bruins on Saturday. Campbell has posted an impressive 2.23 GAA and .928 SV% this season but the lack of goal support has resulted in just seven wins in 19 appearances (17 starts). The 27-year-old has gone 4-4-0 with a 2.34 GAA and .920 SV% at STAPLES Center this season.
Jones allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Sharks win over the Canucks on Saturday. Jones has gone 5-1-0 with a 2.32 GAA and .925 SV% in his first six starts in February. He draws a rough matchup vs. a Bruins team that has won five in a row and is 7-0-1 in their last eight. The 29-year-old netminder is 16-4-3 with a 2.48 GAA and .910 SV% on home-ice this season.
