Benning has missed the last three games and was moved to IR to open up a roster spot in order to call-up Sam Gagner, who was acquired from the Canucks this morning.

Panik is fighting an illness and is questionable to play Saturday vs. the Maple Leafs. Panik has become one of the Coyotes best producers, picking up two goals and five assists (seven points) in his last 12 games.

Kempe has missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but will be a game-time decision tonight vs. the Maple Leafs. Kempe has just one assist in his last seven games.

Kuemper allowed four goals on 24 shots in the Coyotes loss to St. Louis on Thursday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Kuemper, who has gone 2-3-1 with a 3.35 GAA and .899 SV% in February. Kuemper allowed two goals on 26 shots in a 4-2 win in his first start against the Maple Leafs.

Quick allowed three goals on 27 shots in the Kings loss to the Canucks. Quick allowed five goals on 33 shots in a 5-4 OT loss in his first start vs. the Bruins—it started a three-game losing streak, which he’s still on, allowing a combined 14 goals on 105 shots (.867 SV%). Quick is a rough option against a quality Bruins squad.

Markstrom allowed three goals on 38 shots in the Canucks win in Los Angeles on Thursday. Markstrom has not faced the Sharks this season, but has gone 10-10-3 with a 2.84 GAA and .909 SV% on the road this year. He comes in at 3-3-1 with a 2.39GAA and .929 SV% in February.

There is no word on when Martinez suffered the injury but is expected to miss at least a week with an upper-body issue. The Kings have recalled Matt Roy from Ontario (AHL) and he will replace Martinez on Saturday.

Varlamov allowed one goal on 25 shots in Colorado’s win in Winnipeg on Thursday. The win snapped a six-game losing streak for Varlamov, who will face the Blues for the second time this afternoon. Varlamov allowed three goalso on 37 shots in a 3-2 OT loss in their first meeting (Nov.30).

Jenner will not play Saturday in Chicago due to an undisclosed injury, so look for Kole Sherwood to make his NHL debut in his place.

Saros allowed five goals on 29 shots in the Predators loss to the Blues last Friday. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Saros, who will face Vegas for the third time this season—he has gone 2-0-0with a 1.00 GAA and .972 SV% in the first two meeting and is 3-0-0 against them in his career.

Subban allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Golden Knights win over the Devils on January 6th. Subban will make his second start against his brother and the Predators—in the first meeting, he allowed three goals on 28 shots in a 4-1 loss (Oct.30). He has only made two appearances on home ice, stopping 45 of 47 shots (.958 SV%).

Spooner was traded to Vancouver on Saturday afternoon and was in the AHL at the time, so he will need to be called-up from the AHL to join the Canucks. Vancouver moved Jake Virtanen to IR to make room.

Virtanen was scratched from the lineup on Thursday and will be moved to IR so they can call up the newly acquired Ryan Spooner on Saturday.

Karlsson has missed the last 10 games with a lower-body injury but will play Saturday vs. the Canucks. Karlsson will skate with Marc-Edouard Vlasic and enters play with 43 points (3G / 40A) in 47 games this season.


Walker reportedly took a puck to the face against the Canucks on Thursday and is day-to-day with what the Kings are calling an upper-body injury.

Cernak missed the last two games with a lower-body injury but is set to play Saturday vs. the Canadiens. Cernak has settled right in with the Lightning, picking up nine points (2G / 7A) and a plus-14 rating in 34 games.
