Howard will start Tuesday in Edmonton.

Howard gave up five goals in the Red Wings 6-4 loss in Calgary last Friday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Howard, who will make his 33rd start of the season on Tuesday. Tonight he faces an Oilers team that is in a bit of a tailspin, having lost 11 of their last 16 games while averaging 2.75 goals for per game.

Spooner cleared waivers but will remain in the Oilers lineup on Tuesday.

Spooner has been terrible since being acquired for Ryan Strome, scoring just two goals with one assist in 24 games. Despite clearing waivers this afternoon, Spooner will stay with the team and skate on the third line with Colby Cave and Kailer Yamamoto.

Petrovic (concussion) is expected to be back in the Oilers lineup on Tuesday.

Petrovic has missed the last six games with a concussion but is expected to play on Tuesday—replacing Caleb Jones, who was sent down on Monday. Petrovic has one assist and a minus-5 rating in five games since being acquired by the Panthers.

The 26-year-old has yet to lose in regulation on home-ice, going 8-0-4 with a 3.34 GAA and .880 SV%.

Koskinen will start Tuesday vs. the Red Wings.

Koskinen allowed three goals on 18 shots after replacing Cam Talbot in the Oilers blowout loss to the Hurricanes on Sunday. Koskinen signed a three-year extension on Monday despite going 3-7-0 with a 3.94 GAA and .879 SV% in his previous 11 appearances. He draws a solid matchup on Tuesday vs. the Red Wings, who have lost 11 of their last 14 (3-9-2).

Kuemper will start Tuesday in Ottawa.

Kuemper stopped 24 of 26 shots in the Coyotes win in Toronto on Sunday. It was another strong outing for Kuemper, who is now 5-0-1 with a 2.12 GAA, .925 SV% and one shutout in his last six starts. The Coyotes and their No.1 netminder are hot right now and draw a strong road matchup vs. a Senators team that is 12-9-4 on home-ice and have the worst team GAA (3.76) in the league.

Ward gave up six goals on 25 shots in the Blackhawks loss in New Jersey last Monday. Ward has now lost three of his last four starts while allowing a combined 17 goals on 120 shots (.858 SV%). It was a disastrous outing for Washington and Holtby is now 0-1-0 with a 3.85 GAA and .851 SV% in his last three starts. Tonight he faces a Sharks team on a back-to-back on home-ice, where he is 10-7-1 with a 2.67 GAA, .916 SV% and one shutout.

Braden Holtby
The Wild acquired Brad Hunt and a 2019 sixth-round pick from the Golden Knights for a 2019 fifth-round pick.

The Golden Knights needed to move a body or two and Hunt was a logical candidate. Hunt often sits as a healthy scratch, appearing in just 13 of 51 games this season. However, Hunt is a capable producer of offence from the blueline, picking up seven points (2G / 5A) in those games and could play regularly in Minnesota. Hunt has 34 career points (7G / 27A) in 91 NHL games with the Oilers, Blues, Predators and Golden Knights.
