The Jets have recalled Sami Niku from Manitoba (AHL).
Niku has not recorded a point in five games with the Jets this season. Niku has registered 10 points (2G / 8A) in 17 games with the Moose. He could draw into the Jets lineup while Dustin Byfuglien is sidelined.

The Kings have assigned Cal Petersen to Ontario (AHL).
Petersen was 5-4-1 with a 2.61 GAA and .924 SV% in 11 games with the Kings this season. He returns to the Reign where he has gone 2-3-1 with a 4.29 GAA and .881 SV%.
The Kings have recalled Jack Campbell from Ontario (AHL).
Campbell has gone 5-7-0 with a 2.33 GAA and .923 SV% in 13 games with the Kings this season. He has gone 1-1-0 with a 4.38 GAA and .888 SV% in two games with Ontario since returning from injury. He replaces Cal Petersen as the Kings No.2 netminder.

Ward will start the Winter Classic on Tuesday.
Ward allowed five goals on 26 shots in the Blackhawks loss to the Panthers on December 23rd. Despite Collin Delia winning three straight, the Blackhawks will go with the veteran netminder in the Winter Classic. Ward was 2-4-0 with a 3.90 GAA and .879 SV% in December, so he probably isn’t good option against a Bruins team that has gone 7-4-0 in their last 11.

The longest suspension served was dealt to former-Detroit Red Wing David Perron at six-games after a cross-checking penalty dealt ironically against his current team in the 2024-25 season, the Ottawa Senators. Additionally, Perron was fined $148,437.48 for his actions.
