Kerfoot will be replaced by AJ Greer, who was recalled from the AHL. Kerfoot has had a solid season and should be considered questionable for Colorado’s back-to-back on Friday and Saturday.

Varlamov allowed five goals on 23 shots in Colorado’s loss in Tampa Bay on Saturday. Varlamov has had a nice season but has struggled mightily in his last two starts—giving up a combined 11 goals on 55 shots (.800 SV%). In his first start against the Oilers, Varlamov allowed one goal on 27 shots in a 4-1 win (Nov.11).
Anderson made 35 saves on 36 shots in the Senators win over the Penguins on Saturday. Anderson seems to either stand on his head or give up four-plus goals with no in between. He is an especially risky option against a Predators team that is 11-5-0 at Bridgestone Arena this season. Anderson is 2-6-1 with a 4.48 GAA and .885 SV% on the road.
Luongo allowed four goals on 26 shots in the Panthers loss to the Rangers on Saturday. Luongo posted a shutout over the Bruins last Tuesday but lost back-to-back games after—allowing a combined eight goals on 62 shots (.871 SV%). He comes into Tuesday’s game at 2-3-0 with a 3.64 GAA and .886 SV% on the road.

Rakell suffered a sprained ankle last Wednesday and will miss at least a few weeks. With Rakell out, Daniel Sprong has taken on a larger role early in his Ducks career and could play top-6 minutes until Rakell is back.
Miller was hurt against the Devils on Sunday and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. The Ducks are expecting Miller to miss six weeks, so they’ve claimed Chad Johnson off of waivers from the Blues. This injury shouldn’t affect the Ducks too much, John Gibson has started 78 percent of their games so far.
Niemi surrendered three goals on 40 shots in the Canadiens loss in Buffalo on November 23rd. Niemi has given up at least three goals in each of his seven games this season, totalling a 3.61 GAA and .893 SV%. Despite rough numbers, he has a good matchup against a Wild team that has lost seven of their last 10 games while averaging just 2.50 goals per game.
Dubnyk was pulled after allowing three goals on six shots in the Wild’s loss in Edmonton last Friday. In his first 15 starts, Dubnyk went 9-4-2 with a 2.32 GAA, .926 SV% and two shutouts but has been terrible since. In his last seven games, Dubnyk has gone 1-5-0 with a 4.06 GAA and .847 SV%. He has a solid matchup with Antti Niemi in the other net but Dubnyk’s recent struggles make him a risky start.
Greco was an unrestricted free agent out of the University of Ohio State. The 25-year-old has recorded 12 goals and 11 assists (23 points) in 24 games this year, which is his third AHL season.
Allen was pulled after allowing three goals on six shots in the Blues loss to the Canucks on Sunday. Chad Johnson was waived and picked up by Anaheim, which means Allen will have to outplay Jordan Binnington for playing time moving forward. Tonight he takes on the Panthers on home-ice, where he is 4-4-2 with a 3.86 GAA and .879 SV%.
Rinne gave up four goals on 25 shots in the Predators loss in Vancouver last Thursday. The loss snapped a brief two-game winning streak for Rinne, who continues to lead the NHL in GAA (1.96) and SV% (.930). He’s a must-start against an Ottawa team that is missing some key pieces up front.
Edmundson is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, so look for Jordan Schmaltz to replace him on the blueline. Monitor Edmundson’s status leading up to Friday’s game vs. the Avalanche.
Claiming Johnson suggests that Ryan Miller’s lower-body injury is going to cost him a good chunk of time. The Ducks have not provided an update on Miller’s status but expect Johnson to serve as John Gibson’s backup moving forward.
Galchenyuk is dealing with a minor injury so he is questionable for Tuesday’s game in Boston. If he can’t play, look for Michael Bunting to make his NHL debut.
Kuemper has been out since November 21st but will start tonight with the red-hot Adin Hill serving as his backup. Kuemper has struggled at times this season, particularly on the road. The 28-year-old is 2-3-1 with an ugly 3.17 GAA and .902 SV% in six starts outside of Arizona.
Schwartz will play for the first time since November 16th. Schwartz, who has two goals and seven assists (nine points) in 15 games, will start on the second line with Brayden Schenn and David Perron tonight.

Brossoit has been one of the better backups in the NHL this season, posting a 2.16 GAA and .935 SV% in seven games. Even more impressive, Brossoit is 2-0-1 with a 1.62 GAA and .958 SV% on home-ice and is an excellent spot-start option vs. the Blackhawks tonight.
