Hellebuyck stopped 31 of 33 shots in the Jets win over the Ducks on Sunday. Hellebuyck has been tremendous since mid-November, going 7-1-1 with a 1.95 GAA, .941 SV% and one shutout in his last 10 appearances (eight starts). Tonight he returns to his home state of Michigan to face a Red Wings team that has lost 12 in a row (0-10-2) and could be without three of their top-6 forwards. Hellebuyck is clearly the top goalie option on Thursday.

Brossoit allowed two goals on 34 shots in the Jets loss in Los Angeles on November 30th. The Jets have a home-and-home with the NHL's worst team on Tuesday/Thursday so they will use this opportunity to get both goalies a start--with Brossoit going on home-ice and Connor Hellebuyck starting in his home state. The 26-year-old has gone 3-3-0 with a 3.65 GAA and .885 SV% on the season but is a solid spot-start option vs. a Red Wings team that has lost 11 in a row.

Calvert missed Saturday's game in Boston due to personal reasons but will play Monday vs. the Flames. Calvert has five goals and 10 assists (15 points) in 22 games this season.

Kadri was on the ice in a non-contact sweater this morning and remains day-to-day with a lower-body injury. Kadri won't play vs. the Flames but his availability for the morning skate suggests that he will return to the lineup later this week.

Grubauer was hurt early in Saturday's win in Boston but will be available to backup on Monday. Grubauer was on the ice for the morning skate but they'll give him the night off, so Pavel Francouz will start against the Flames.

Makar was forced to leave Saturday's game in Boston after taking a hard hit from Brad Marchand. Makar was not on the ice for Monday's morning skate and will not play vs. the Flames. Head coach Jared Bednar called him "day-to-day" but said there's a chance that he will play this week. With Makar out, Samuel Girard will be on Colorado's top power-play unit.

Francouz stopped all 16 shots that he faced after replacing Philipp Grubauer in Colorado's win in Boston on Saturday. It was another strong outing for Francouz, who has won three straight while stopping 88 of the 92 shots (.957 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he faces a Flames team on a six-game point streak, going 5-0-1 while scoring 3.17 goals per game.

Kyrou is one of the Blues top prospects and gets recalled with the Blues struggling offensively in their last two games. Kyrou, who was a second-round pick in 2016, has 15 points (9G / 6A) in 16 AHL games this season. During a 16-game stint with the Blues last year, Kyrou had one goal and two assists.

Highmore had no points in two games with the Blackhawks this season but has picked up 12 points (4G / 8A) in 21 AHL games. Andrew Shaw was placed on LTIR on Monday, opening up a roster spot and clearing cap space to bring up Highmore and Adam Boqvist.

The Blackhawks placed Andrew Shaw on LTIR to give them some cap-relief to call-up Boqvist and Matthew Highmore. Boqvist had one goal in six games with the Blackhawks earlier this season and has posted six points (1G / 5A) in 15 AHL games this season.

Shaw is out indefinitely with a concussion so his move to LTIR opens up a roster spot and gives the Blackhawks some cap relief to call-up Adam Boqvist and Matthew Highmore.

Rask surrendered four goals on 31 shots in the Bruins' loss to the Blackhawks last Thursday. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Rask, who is expected to start Monday in Ottawa. The 32-year-old is unsurprisingly 2-0-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .955 SV% in his first two-starts against the Senators this season. He is also 5-2-0 on the road, so Rask is a must-start on Monday.

Varlamov allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Islanders win over the Golden Knights last Thursday. Varlamov has gone 4-1-1 with a 2.32 GAA and .923 SV% in his last six starts and two relief appearances. The Lightning has won seven of their 13 home games (7-5-1) while scoring 4.31 goals per game.
