Rinne allowed three goals on 31 shots in the Predators win in Chicago last night. Rinne was scheduled to get the night off but Juuse Saros is not available due to illness, so Rinne will start for the second night in a row and for the third time in four days. Rinne is 6-5-2 with a 2.53 GAA, .918 SV% and one shutout on the road.



Jones stopped 22 of 23 shots in the Sharks win over the Kings on Monday. Jones was given Tuesday night off, keeping him fresh for tonight’s game in Vegas. Jones has a five-game winning streak going right now, despite posting a pedestrian 2.61 GAA and .900 SV%. He is a risky road option against Marc-Andre Fleury, who is riding a five-game winning streak of his own.

Harpur suffered an upper-body injury late in Wednesday’s game in Anaheim and will be replaced by Christian Wolanin on Thursday.

Wolanin was a healthy scratch in Anaheim last night but will replace Ben Harpur who is day-to-day with an upper-body injury on Thursday. Wolanin has one goal on four shots with two assists in six games with Ottawa this season.

Dauphin has three goals and one assist in 34 career NHL games and is expected to play No.35 tonight in Vancouver. The Coyotes did not say who Dauphin will replace but he is expected to skate in their bottom-6, limiting his fantasy value.

Rooney, 25, has not registered a point in four games with the Devils this season but has 17 points (1G / 16A) in 34 games with Binghamton. There is no word whether or not he will play in his 10th career NHL game on Thursday.

Moving Blackwood to IR was done to open up a roster spot to recall Kevin Rooney from Binghamton (AHL). Blackwood is eligible to come off of IR for Saturday’s game. Cam Johnson will remain with the Devils to backup Keith Kinkaid while Blackwood is out.

Kuemper stopped all 23 shots that he faced in the Coyotes 5-0 shutout win over the Rangers on Sunday. The win snapped Kuemper’s three-game losing streak and moved him to 6-11-3 on the season. As well as he played on the weekend, Kuemper is 3-6-1 with a 3.10 GAA and .902 SV% on the road this season and should remain on your bench or the waiver wire tonight.

Markstrom allowed five goals on 34 shots in the Canucks loss in Toronto last Saturday. Markstrom won nine of 10 from Dec.6-Jan.2 but has since lost two in a row. However, he has a good opportunity to get back on track tonight vs. the Coyotes—Markstrom enters play at 9-5-1 with a 2.66 GAA and .914 SV% on home-ice this season.

Nilsson stopped 32 of 33 shots in the Canucks win in Anaheim last night. Nilsson recorded his first win with Ottawa and has now stopped 65 of 72 shots (.903 SV%) since being acquired by the Senators. Tonight he starts on no rest against a Kings team that has won six of their last 10 games (6-4-0).

Reimer made 14 saves on 15 shots after replacing Roberto Luongo in the Panthers loss in Pittsburgh on Tuesday. Reimer has gone 4-3-1 with a 3.19 GAA and .885 SV% on the road this season, making him a risky start against Connor McDavid and the Oilers. Edmonton enters the game at 10-9-1 on home-ice this season.

Subban missed Wednesday’s practice with an undisclosed injury and will miss at least Thursday’s game as well. Maxime Lagace has been recalled to serve as Marc-Andre Fleury’s backup.

Lagace has gone 9-6-0 with a 2.72 GAA and .898 SV% in 18 games with Chicago this season. With Malcolm Subban banged up, Lagace will serve as the Golden Knights No.2 netminder on Thursday.

Fleury gave up two goals on 29 shots in the Golden Knights win over the Rangers on Tuesday. The win extended Fleury’s winning streak to five games, posting a 1.20 GAA, .956 SV% and one shutout over that span. Fleury stopped all 33 shots that he faced in a 6-0 shutout win in his first start against San Jose this season.


Hyman has missed the past eight games with a sprained left ankle but will return to the lineup on Thursday. Hyman, who has seven goals and eight assists (15 points) in 32 games this season, will skate on a line with John Tavares and Mitch Marner in his return to the lineup.
