John Gibson is day-to-day with a lower-body injury, so Berra has been called up to backup Ryan Miller on Wednesday. If Gibson is going to miss this weekend’s games, Berra will remain up with the big club.

The Ducks are still battling for a playoff spot in the final week of the season, so this is a huge loss for them. Even if the Ducks are able to hold onto their playoff position, the loss of Fowler will hurt their blueline in the post season.

Gibson suffered an upper-body injury against the Avalanche and is not expected to be available against Minnesota on Wednesday. Reto Berra has been recalled and is expected to backup Ryan Miller. There’s no word on whether or not Gibson will be available for the weekend’s final two games.

Kane missed Monday’s practice and will not play tonight vs. the Stars. Kane has been strong since joining the Sharks, posting nine goals and five assists (14 points) in 16 games since the trade. Kane is considered day-to-day.

Nylander, 20, was the No.8 overall pick in 2016 and is coming off of a decent year with the Americans. Nylander has picked up seven goals and 19 assists (26 points) in 48 games this season and is expected to make his season debut in the final week of the season. Nylander had one assist in four games with the Sabres a season ago.

Gibson was 2-3-2 with a 3.65 GAA and .908 SV% in eight games with the Islanders during his call-up. Gibson returns to the Sound Tigers where he has gone 18-11-1 with a 2.31 GAA and .909 SV% in 33 games.

Wingels was slashed on the hand on Sunday and will miss tonight’s game. Wingels is day-to-day and head coach Bruce Cassidy said that it’s not expected to be a long-term injury.

McCollum, 28, has gone 18-13-2 with a 2.72 GAA and .909 SV% in 34 games with the Griffins this season. McCollum has been recalled to backup Jimmy Howard on Tuesday because Jared Coreau is out with an illness.

Coreau was originally scheduled to start in Columbus, but his illness will keep him out. Jimmy Howard will get the nod and Tom McCullum has been recalled to serve as his backup.
