Duchene and his wife are awaiting the arrival of their first child, so Duchene stayed home and is expected to miss all three games on their California road trip. Darren Archibald was called up to serve as the extra forward with Duchene out.

Nilsson allowed two goals on 13 shots after replacing Marcus Hogberg in the Senators loss to the Hurricanes on Sunday. Nilsson has allowed six goals on 39 shots (.846 SV%) in his first two appearances with the Senators. Tonight he faces a Ducks team that has lost eight in a row (0-6-2) and are 10-6-7 on home-ice.


It looked as if Martin Jones may get the nod on back-to-back nights but Dell will be making his first start since New Year’s Eve. Dell allowed eight goals(!!!) on 27 shots in his last outing and has had a rough season, posting a 3.10 GAA and .890 SV% in 14 appearances so far.

Grubauer allowed one goal on 25 shots in Colorado’s win over the Rangers last Friday. The victory snapped a four-game losing skid for Grubauer, who will make his 20th appearance of the season this evening. The matchup is rough and his road numbers haven’t been pretty this season—5-2-2, 3.25 GAA and .906 SV%.







Vasilevskiy allowed five goals on 33 shots in the Lightning’s loss in San Jose on Saturday. The loss snapped a six-game winning streak for Vasilevskiy, who has gone 7-1-1 with a 3.20 GAA and .911 SV% in nine starts since returning from a fractured foot. In his first start vs. the Blue Jackets, Vasilevskiy stopped 30 of 32 shots in an 8-2 win (Oct.13).

Allen allowed four goals on just 14 shots in the Blues loss to the Islanders on Saturday. Jordan Binnington gave him the night off last night and recorded a shutout in his first career NHL start but they’ll come back to Allen tonight vs. the Stars. Allen is 8-8-2 with a 3.67 GAA and .880 SV% on home-ice this year.


McElhinney allowed two goals on 24 shots in the Hurricanes win over the Blue Jackets last Friday. McElhinney has won two straight and is 2-2-0 with a 1.76 GAA and .935 SV% in his last four outings. The veteran netminder enters play on Tuesday at 3-3-0 with a 2.50 GAA and .914 SV% on the road this season.

Greiss was pulled after he allowed three goals on 17 shots in the Islanders win over the Senators on December 28th. Greiss hasn’t played much recently because Robin Lehner has been the hottest goalie in the NHL but Greiss will get a crack at the Hurricanes tonight. He is 3-0-0 with a 1.00 GAA and .973 SV% vs. the Hurricanes this season.

McKenna has gone 1-4-1 with a 3.96 GAA and .897 SV% in six starts and four relief appearances with the Senators so far this season. McKenna spent a few days with the Canucks before being claimed by the Flyers and will make his debut with his seventh NHL team tonight. He has a 3.58 GAA and .892 SV% in 34 career NHL appearances.

Stalock allowed one goal on nine shots after replacing Devan Dubnyk in Chicago on December 27th. Stalock has started just seven games with three relief appearances, going 5-3-0 with a 2.60 GAA and .903 SV% overall this season. Tonight he faces a Bruins team that has won four straight and seven of their last nine.

Hudon has been a healthy scratch for the last seven games but will replace Nicolas Deslauriers on Tuesday. Hudon has just three gaols and one assist in 23 games this season.
