The Canadiens have reassigned Charlie Lindgren to Laval (AHL).

Lindgren has gone 4-8-2 with a 3.03 GAA and .908 SV% in 14 games with the Canadiens and returns to Laval where he is 8-14-1 with a 3.18 GAA and .891 SV%. Lindgren’s return to the AHL suggests that Carey Price (concussion) will at least dress as Antti Niemi’s backup on Monday.

Petrovic (lower-body) is expected to be back in the Panthers lineup on Monday.

Petrovic has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury but it looks like he’ll be back in tonight in Montreal. Petrovic doesn’t bring a lot off offence to the table, having picked up just 11 points (1G / 10A) in 56 games this season.

Alex Petrovic
Ullmark will start Monday vs. the Predators.

Ullmark was outstanding in his season debut back on January 11th. Ullmark, who is the Sabres goalie of the future, stopped 44 of 45 shots in a 3-1 win over the Blue Jackets and tonight he will make his second NHL start of 2018. The 24-year-old has gone 20-11-4 with a 2.44 GAA, .923 SV% and two shutouts in 42 games with Rochester (AHL) this season.

Andersen (upper-body) is set to return Tuesday in Tampa Bay.

Andersen missed the last two games with an upper-body injury but will be available for tomorrow’s game against the Lightning. Andersen should start but comes in having gone 1-2-1 while allowing a combined 18 goals on 151 shots (.881 SV%) in his last five appearances. He is also 1-1-1 with a 2.63 GAA and .929 SV% against the Lightning this season.

Frederik Andersen
The Maple Leafs have reassigned Garret Sparks to Toronto (AHL).

Sparks, 24, served as Curtis McElhinney’s backup while Frederik Andersen was hurt, but he returns to the Marlies where he has gone 24-8-1 with a 1.78 GAA and .936 SV% this season. Sparks’ return to the AHL means that Andersen will be back in Tampa Bay on Tuesday.

Garret Sparks
The Senators have reassigned Jim O’Brien to Belleville (AHL).

O’Brien has just one assist in nine games with Ottawa so he returns to Belleville, where he had 28 points (13G / 15A) in 55 games prior to being called up. Filip Chlapik has been recalled to take O’Brien’s spot on the roster.

Jim O'Brien
McKenna will be recalled from Texas (AHL) and backup Kari Lehtonen for the "foreseeable future."

Ben Bishop suffered another lower-body injury on Sunday and he will miss at least the next two weeks, so McKenna returns as Lehtonen's backup. The Stars are fighting for their playoff lives, so McKenna likely won’t see any action. He is 15-9-1 with a 2.69 GAA and .907 SV% in 30 games with Texas this season.

Mike McKenna
Lehtonen will start Tuesday in Washington.

Lehtonen allowed three goals on 20 shots after replacing Ben Bishop in the Stars loss in Winnipeg on Sunday. With Bishop hurt again, Lehtonen will be the Stars’ No.1 down the stretch. The 34-year-old veterans gone 1-4-2 with a 2.93 GAA and .898 SV% in five starts and two relief appearances during a tough March for the Stars’ netminders.

Kari Lehtonen
The Bruins signed Ryan Donato to a two-year entry-level contract and he will likely make his NHL debut on Monday.

Donato, 21, just wrapped up his third year at Harvard University where he collected 26 goals and 17 assists (43 points) in just 29 games. The Bruins are really banged up, so Donato could be thrust into a key role right from the get-go. The Boston native was a second round pick (No. 56 overall) in 2014.

Ryan Donato
Jones (upper-body) traveled to Boston but is questionable for Monday’s game.

Jones missed Saturday’s game vs. the Senators with an upper-body injury but he could be back tonight vs. the Bruins. Jones travelled to Boston but the Blue Jackets rarely hold a morning skate, so we might not get an update on Jones’ status until closer to game-time.

Seth Jones
Backes will miss at least a couple of games with a leg laceration.

Backes needed 18 stitches to close up a wind that was caused by a skate blade in Saturday’s win over the Lightning. Bruins’ GM Don Sweeney confirmed that Backes isn’t “day-to-day” as they wait to see how the gash heals. The recently signed Ryan Donato could make his NHL debut in Backes’ place on Monday.

David Backes
Bishop will miss at least two weeks with a lower-body injury.

Bishop stopped all three shots that he faced before leaving last night’s game with a lower-body injury. It was just his second game back from a lower-body injury that cost him five games and this later injuries will cost him at least six games. Bishop will be re-evaluated after the two weeks and his status for the remaining three games will be determined.
