NHL Hockey Player News

Murray (upper-body) is not on the ice for Penguins morning skate.

Murray was forced to leave the ice early on Monday after being hit up high by a shot. Tristan Jarry and Casey DeSmith are both on the ice this morning, which suggests that Jarry will start and Murray will miss at least tonight's game vs. the Devils. Expect an update on Murray's status later today.

Matt Murray
Luongo will start Tuesday vs. the Maple Leafs.

Luongo allowed five goals on 37 shots in the Panthers win over the Penguins on Saturday. Since returning to the Panthers’ crease, Luongo has won three of four starts while posting a 2.76 GAA and .919 SV%. Tonight he makes his this start of the year vs. the Maple Leafs—he is 1-1-0 with a 0.97 GAA and .973 SV% in the first two meetings.

Roberto Luongo
Schneider (groin) has been assigned to Binghamton (AHL) on a conditioning stint.

Schneider has been sidelined by a groin injury since January 23rd but is nearing a return to the Devils’ crease. The Devils’ No.1 will start tonight for Binghamton and should be back to start either Thursday in Florida or Friday in Carolina.

Cory Schneider
Quick led the Kings onto the ice for warmups.

Quick allowed three goals on 24 shots in the Kings loss to the Oilers on Saturday. He has lost two in a row but is expected to remain in the crease tonight vs. the Golden Knights. The 32-year-old will be in tough with the Golden Knights in town—where Quick is 9-10-2 with a 2.33 GAA and .922 SV% this season.

Jonathan Quick
Bobrovsky will start Monday vs. the Capitals.

Bobrovsky allowed two goals on 33 shots in the Blue Jackets win over the Blackhawks on Saturday. Bobrovsky has gone 2-2-1 while allowing a combined 12 goals on 132 shots (.909 SV%) in his last five start. Tonight he faces the Capitals for the fourth time this season—he is 0-3-0 with a 3.73 GAA and .831 SV% in the first three meetings.

Sergei Bobrovsky
Holtby will start Monday in Columbus.

Holtby allowed three goals on 33 shots in the Capitals loss in Florida last Thursday. He was given Saturday night off, so it’s no surprise that he will start tonight in Columbus. He comes in ice-cold though, as he’s lost five in a row with a 4.70 GAA and .861 SV%. However, the 28-year-old is undefeated in three games against the Blue Jackets this season with 2.34 GAA and .937 SV%.

Braden Holtby
The Flyers have sent Oskar Lindblom to Lehigh Valley (AHL) to make him eligible to play in the AHL playoffs.

Lindblom has been up for the last three games and will be back up with Flyers on Tuesday, but had to go down today to ensure he can play in the AHL playoffs. He had no points in three games with the Flyers, but if his AHL numbers (16G-18A in 54 games) are any indication, he should produce at this level.
